On sites that sell photographic equipment, you are often offered the Nikon D3100 kit 18-55. or Sell Nikon body or Sell Canon 18 55 kit or Canon EOS 18-55 kit. more on all this below.

Kit- This is a kit consisting of a SLR camera body and a lens to it.
The assembly is usually made by the manufacturer.

Translated from English Kit - "set".
Or, referring to the Internet Kit, this is a “carcass” packed with cheap zoom.

Nikon d3100 kit 18-55. The kit includes +.

What is a "kit" lens?

This is an inexpensive all-round lens designed for beginner photographers. For those who just want a photo.
Previously, before the word Kit migrated to us, such lenses were called full-time. And for those who want to learn how to photograph, but do not have the opportunity to buy expensive optics. Low price, by the way, does not say that whale lenses have low quality. Competition, remember. And therefore, firms producing photographic equipment are simply forced to make inexpensive optics of sufficient quality.

Sometimes, in stores, you can see a "whale" complete with something else. With chocolate, for example. Or a string on which you can wear something. It can be a flash card, a light filter. Yes, whatever! And this is also a whale.

This is how new terms are born.

"Short" kit, for example. This is a camera equipped, it turns out!

And do you like kit "long"? This, it turns out, is a camera, complete with .

double-kit camera with 2 lenses included, short and long.

In general, whales are different.

What is body, body or carcass?

This is the actual camera without the lens. Here is the Canon EOS 40D body. That is reflex camera without lens.

Summing up

What is Kit? A kit is a set of photographic equipment, consisting of and a lens to it. What is Body? This is a camera, but without a lens in the kit.

The whale lens, quite well, will cope with the tasks assigned to it. In cases where both the lighting is “normal”, and the plot is simple, and the object does not disappear quickly. And to help this simple zoom, the excellent automation of almost any modern digital camera. So, for the first time and for beginners to love photography, the “whale” will be enough.

Fashion is changeable and fickle. From time to time she gives us completely unexpected surprises. But there are things that do not lose popularity over the years. For example, bodysuits for women. This rather intimate formerly attribute in recent times has become a real trend. From underwear, the bodysuit has moved into the category of a fashionable outfit. Some singers even decide to use it as an advantage, thereby demonstrating their figure.

It should be noted that the body is different. And you need to choose it correctly, soberly assessing your own dimensions and shape flaws. for women it is able to hide the cons and emphasize the merits. Therefore, it is advisable for ladies with an imperfect waistline to choose just such an option for their everyday outfit. Such an element of clothing is comfortable and practically not felt during wearing. Of course, if you purchased the right size. In no case should you buy a bodysuit for overweight women, otherwise the clothes will drag you too much, restrict movement, bring discomfort and definitely ruin your mood for the whole day.

Give preference to those models that are made from natural fabrics. A small amount of elastane is allowed, which allows the material to fit more tightly and comfortably to the body. This bodysuit for women can be worn even in summer. It allows the skin to breathe freely, passes moisture and air.

One of the most common bodysuit models today is the shirt. The top looks strict and is perfect for business women. The advantage is that this shirt will not be too short or too long.

The bodysuit will never get out of a skirt or trousers, even with active actions. If such an image seems too strict to you, then buy a model in the form of a blouse. This bodysuit for women is sewn from more expensive materials. Silk and satin are at your disposal, which are perfect even for a romantic date. By the way, a bodysuit with lace and transparent inserts will be an excellent surprise for a promising night. No wonder that for such a long time this detail was considered extremely intimate.

What to wear with a bodysuit? For women, this issue sometimes becomes especially acute. After all, the image should be competent and balanced.

Wear a bodysuit with trousers and jeans. You can successfully combine it even with leggings. It all depends on the body model, style and season, of course. If you prefer low-waisted trousers and jeans, then the bodysuit will be a real find. After all, an open lower back with a tilt of the back is no longer a sign of good taste. A well-chosen bodysuit will help you avoid this small, but still very unpleasant embarrassment in public.

This detail of the wardrobe will also fit perfectly in. Get, for example, a bodysuit with a scattering of small rhinestones or a frank translucent insert in front. In combination with a light, airy floor-length skirt, this outfit will certainly be in the spotlight. Wear a bodysuit with high heels or wedges.

Many are interested in what kit means on a camera and what is the difference between body and kit. Kit- this is "set", that is, the camera is equipped with some kind of lens.

If you're buying your first interchangeable lens camera, you'll need a kit unless you've decided on a lens beforehand. Sometimes you can hear the expression “whale lens”, this does not mean that only whales can be photographed with such a lens. The whale lens is the one that came with the camera. Kit lenses are different, but usually Nikon equips certain models of devices with certain lenses. What kind of lens is included in the kit, you need to look at the box.

Those who are just buying their first DSLR may hear the words kit (whale) and body (body). Kit translated from English is a kit. This means that we are talking about the lens that comes with the camera. But you can’t call any lens a Kit. Every camera manufacturer has a range of versatile lenses to suit most shooting situations. This optics is not high cost, but quite reliable and has good, though not top-end characteristics. When buying your first DSLR, you definitely need to take a complete lens in order to work at various focal lengths.

A kit lens is also called a kit lens. It has nothing to do with this huge mammal. This is just an adaptation for the Russian-speaking population. It is not uncommon for the same camera model to be sold with different lenses. The most common are 18-55mm and 28-105mm.

Body is a camera without a lens. It is also called carcass. This camera option is suitable for those photographers who already have a number of lenses and a strong desire to buy a newer camera model. Optics do not become obsolete for years, and sometimes decades, but the regularity of the release of new cameras is extremely high. Those who want to keep up with the times can simply buy new bodies every couple of years and use their fleet of lenses with them.

There are two purchase options reflex camera: buy a camera with a lens in the kit (the so-called kit) or purchase a camera body separately (body). In which case should I take a kit kit, and in which one should I buy a lens separately? We'll figure out.

In fact, everything is quite simple. If you are new to photography and have just begun to master photographic equipment, and especially if you are switching to a SLR camera from an ordinary soap dish, then in this case it is better for you to immediately take a kit kit. The fact is that whale lenses are usually the cheapest and most versatile. Let's say a lens with a variable focal length 18-135mm has a 7.5x zoom. Kit lenses are enough for most situations: they can shoot almost any scene.

  • Nikon D5100/D5200/D7000/D7100 with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR (or 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED DX VR) lens. The difference between 18-55mm and 18-105mm is mainly in price and zoom ratio. Of course, it is better for a beginner to take 18-105mm.
  • Canon 700D/100D with Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. The last three letters in the lens name are important (STM) - this is an updated version of the 18-135mm lens. I can’t call a recommendation for this lens one hundred percent - after all, this moment the lens is quite expensive for its category.
  • Pentax K-30/K-5 II with Pentax SMC DA 18-55mm or 18-135mm lens. The point of choosing between these lenses is the same as Nikon's. If you want more versatility, go for the 18-135mm. If you want to save money - take 18-55mm.
  • Sony Alpha SLT-A77 with Sony 16-50mm f/2.8 lens. This lens, although it comes in a kit kit with Sony camera A77, but I can’t call it whale language - it’s good fast lens Sony, which, in combination with the A77 camera, gives an excellent picture. Its price is higher than previously presented lenses from other brands, but it's worth it.

What to take to the body?
For beginners who are carried away by the issue of choosing a camera, the question often arises: maybe not take a kit kit, but take a body and buy a lens of a higher class? This is the right question. The fact is that the lens affects the final result in photography not least. And the better the optics, the better the final result, other things being equal. Any photographer will tell you that the carcass affects the final picture much less than glass. So let's see what we can take in addition to this or that body.

From budget options one of the most attractive for Nikon and Canon is the Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F/2.8 lens. When buying, you need to look for cameras of which company this or that Tamron is. There are two types of Tamron 17-50mm lens: with and without stabilizer. The second option will be cheaper, there is not much point in overpaying for glass with a stabilizer. The absolute plus of this lens compared to the whale lenses from Canon and Nikon is the constant aperture of f / 2.8.

Nikon's top lens - Nikon 17-55 f/2.8

In addition to Tamron 17-50mm, it is worth noting native zoom lenses - Nikon 16-85mm and Canon 15-85mm. These lenses are slightly better than whale lenses, but significantly more expensive. Unlike Tamron, they have a variable aperture and are considered dark, just like whale ones. They are sometimes preferred over whales because of the wide angle they give at the short end (16mm for Nikon and 15mm for Canon respectively). Simply put, at 16mm you will fit a few more objects into the frame than at standard 18mm. Whether it is worth such an overpayment - everyone decides for himself.

Canon and Nikon also have top-end lenses for amateur cameras. Nikon has it Nikon lens 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX. Having bought it, you can be sure that this is the best lens for Nikon crop cameras today. Its price is appropriate - about 40 thousand rubles for the "gray" version and about 50 thousand for the "white" version of the lens. To date, this lens makes no sense to buy new in the store. Used can be taken for 27-28 thousand rubles in a new condition. This is simply a colossal savings, and for such money, an amateur purchase of this lens can be justified. Canon has an analogue of this lens - Canon EF-S 17-55mm f / 2.8 IS USM. It costs an order of magnitude cheaper - about 30 thousand rubles.

What to take for "beautiful background blur"?
When buying a SLR camera, many people want to “beautifully blur the background.” This blurring is called "bokeh" and is quite difficult to achieve with kit dark lenses. One of the main factors affecting bokeh is aperture. The faster the aperture at the time of shooting (it's better to use A mode on the camera), the more blur will be. It should be understood that the larger the aperture, the smaller the f-number (f). So the 50mm f/1.8 lens has a higher aperture than the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom.

So, in order to get beautiful bokeh, in addition to a zoom lens, you should buy some fast fixed lens: 35mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8, etc. Which one is better to take is described in my article “What to choose for crop? 85mm vs. 50mm vs. 35mm". Notice I wrote "in addition". Taking a prime lens without a zoom lens in your arsenal is highly undesirable for beginners.

P.S.
Thus, we found out that if you are buying your first SLR camera, then you absolutely need a zoom lens. If you do not want to overpay and bother, then choose a kit with lenses that are described at the beginning of the article. If you want a better lens, then take the body and take a closer look at the lenses listed in the second part of the article. Well, for a beautiful background blur, you need high-aperture optics, which can be purchased in addition to the standard lens.
