What to buy and where to sell in eve. Market trading in EVE Online. Are market prices fixed?

For many EVE Online players, it is common practice to sell or buy their accounts. For some, this is quite a promising way to earn both in-game and real currency. An experienced EVE player understands that buying a pumped-up account can, over time, easily pay for itself, morally and financially. Selling EVE Online accounts is not as popular as other MMO games. But we can say with confidence that this activity in the game economy will live for a very long time, because each account in EVE is unique, and sometimes the accounts of people who have greatly influenced the game universe are put up for sale, such lots have a corresponding price.

Briefly about the EVE universe

EVE Online is a unique game in its own way; 12 years ago the developers created a world and put this world under the control of players. Each player can influence events in the universe, impose their own policies, capture entire space systems, and even become the president of the entire EVEOnline universe. After creating a character, the player is given control of a space capsule and a small guide to the game, then the player chooses his own path. To travel around the universe you will need a spaceship, or better yet, a larger cannon installed on it to fight off pirates or other players who want to destroy you and take the contents of your ship. To arm the ship you need “skills”, this is an alternative to levels from other online games. It can take a month to level up 1 skill, which is why accounts in EVE Online are so valuable and, if a character has a low skill rating, selling an account becomes a real problem.

Scammers

Before you buy an EVE Online account, you must make sure that it has not been hacked, otherwise, after the purchase, such an account will be blocked and returned to its real owner, and you will lose a round sum of money. There are also scams when selling cards with game time (PLEX), selling game currency obtained illegally (for example, by bot farming). If you feel that the price is too low, do not rush into purchasing. Also, to protect yourself from hacking, use official utilities such as EVE Online Account Manager. To avoid fraud when purchasing accounts, use the services of our store; it will be better if you order the services of a guarantor for the most secure transaction. Also, when purchasing game currency or gold, you should know that there is a possibility of blocking, but don’t worry, we take care of our clients, with the right transaction, this probability tends to zero.

1. CHOICE

In the world of EVE, there are many paths for a novice player - you can become a miner and gnaw on ore/ice in asteroid fields in 10 windows periodically trying to understand why you are doing this, you can become a pvp player so harsh that when you fly into the system, enemies will frantically press self-destructive and you can look at the composition of the ships and tell how the battle will go - because the variability of battles in EVE is lower than in WWII, you can become a scientist or a production worker and after some time understand that you are not playing EVE, but working, you can become an agent runner Navi is the equal of which he single-handedly breaks pirate armadas - and to save the kidnapped girl for the thousandth time - “another 100 thousand buckets and our golden key”, you can be an explorer - and spend hours on end banging your head on the monitor, rearranging the plugs this way and that, trying to scan the damn plex, you can become a little Napoleon in a small corporation or the ruler of a super duper alliance - and psychologists will grin nastily and start rotten conversations about sublimation and the effect of compensation, or you can become a merchant... why? Because trading is one of the few things for which it is worth playing EVE - everything else in other games is better/more interesting - but not a single major MMO project has such a deep, sophisticated and rich in possibilities trading system - almost everything is possible here - thousands of methods and mechanisms - almost real life - the only thing missing is derivatives and operational credit for intraday trading - in Eva there is a place for beautiful financial schemes and puzzling scams - for trade wars and market takeovers - there is room to turn around - and the best part is that you won’t be required a long, tedious, exhausting upgrade - from the moment you pay for the trial, your level of access to financial mechanisms is equivalent to the level of a seasoned huckster who has been playing for 4 years - in trading, it doesn’t matter how many millions of CP your character has - everything is decided by you.

2.START

So, you’ve made up your mind - maybe you already have a character, or maybe you don’t yet - if you have a question - which race/bloodline is better for a merchant - then it really doesn’t matter.
And here we come to important point number one.
The merchant’s path is the path of alts, you will have a lot of them and you need them more than many - the beauty is that you don’t need many alts at the same time online; you can switch within 1 account.

So, you created a character and got off the trial - yes, you need to pay for the trial because you won’t be able to trade on a trial account even if you wanted to - now you need to set the learn skill and skill this will be Caldari industrial - industrials or Indians are such space trucks absolutely defenseless but very roomy - what you need for the first stage and the first stage is

3.NPC TRADE

What is the essence of NPC trading - there are goods that are sold and bought by NPCs - that is, in some systems there are orders to sell and in some to buy - we go into the market, set the range filter - region and open the Trade Goods tab - there we are interested in two subgroups Consumer Products and Industrial Goods - the scheme is very simple - we select a product, we look at the village orders for it in the region (they are on top) we look at the buy - we need the buy orders to exceed the sell orders - the more they exceed, the better - then we buy where it is cheaper, we sell where more expensive - the scheme is as simple as a stool - we earn on volume - the more we transport, the more we earn - working capital is earned quite quickly - already on the first Indian, trade brings much more than farming 1-2 lvl missions, turnover grows - cargo volumes too - the beauty of the idyll will stop approximately in a week or two, income growth will stop - you will hit the first threshold - it consists in the fact that in about 1 hour an active trader selects the capacity of the NPC market in the region for the main position (after selling on an NPC purchase order - 1-2 volumes, the purchase price will fall and the selling price will increase) - methods of struggle - well, firstly, trade several positions - but there are not so many really profitable positions in the region 2-4 - and when you switch to a really capacious Indian - like Iteron 5 - then they will be selected quickly - what to do - two solutions:

A) Interregional trade

B) Trading with lowsecs

So, what is interregional trade - everything is the same, but transport it further - to another region; the fact is that prices for some types of goods differ greatly from region to region and, accordingly, the difference is greater - incomes are higher - but how do you find out where and how much? Well, firstly, you can create violas, plant them in different regions and look at the local market through them - or you can go to the website http://eve-central.com and stupidly search in all regions for the product you are interested in - isn’t it beautiful? It’s immediately clear what to take where - in general, remember this website, it will be useful to you more than once in your trading career

Trading with lowsec - in principle, everything is the same - it’s just that purchase orders in lowsec are usually steeply higher than in highsec, and sales orders are steeply lower - in general, in lowsec it is profitable to trade NPC goods - but there is one thing, but there are evil guys there whose bread you don’t feed - let them kill the noob - the thought of evil guys for a long time did not let me into lowsec because of which I did not receive as much profit as I could - as it turned out, the idea was stupid - because there are two wonderful modules in the game Warp Stub and Instab the first makes it difficult for the disruptor to keep us - the second increases warp speed - again, there are special T2 Indians which have bonuses for warp strength (built-in warp stub) and very high agility (built-in instabilization) - the combination of these two modules and a little caution reduces the risk of being caught by an evil guy to almost zero - but both of these modules are installed in low slots - therefore, our favorite cargo hold extenders will not be there, which means we will take less cargo - calculate whether the operation is profitable taking into account the reduction in cargo

And a couple of points where I screwed myself up

  1. there is a temptation to pump up the most capacious Indian - because the more they raised, the more they earned at a time - I did just that, spent almost a month pumping myself Iteron 5 and installed rigs on it - well, yes, I have the most capacious T1 Hindu - the sad truth is that the volumes of purchase buy orders executed in one trip are lower than the full load of Iteron 5 - as a result, it almost always runs only 3/4 loaded - and one more thing, you won’t need an Indian for anything other than NPC trading, at least an Indian pumped up to 5 - yes it won’t hurt, but there’s no need for it - so for example, now I regret these million skill points that could have been spent on more useful skills
  2. always check the selling price, the volume of sales and purchases and the destination station - when farming NPC goods you run around a lot, buying and selling actions become automatic and you can sell the goods at the station where you buy (at a ridiculous price - I ended up at 50kk and I it was very insulting because then it was money for me and the result of 2.5 hours of farming) or buy more than necessary (in the end you will be stuck in a commodity position with tied up capital) - carefully monitor which system has a profitable purchase order - there is nothing it’s stupider to fly into lowsec on a rigged Iteron 5 with cargo-estenders at low
  3. Keep an eye on prices in the region, if purchase orders began to fall sharply literally before your eyes, and sales orders began to grow, it means you have a competitor - another lover of NPC trading - and you need to either get ahead of him or change the region?)
What to sell and where to sell? - well, in trade there are few ready-made recipes, everyone finds their own - at one time I traded in the Forge region - Mechanical parts (my favorite product, the difference reaches 60 per unit) Silicate glass, Fabrics and Caviar (long limb roes - important not to be placed in containers, take into account this) but maybe you will find more convenient and interesting products and routes
And so you have mastered NPC trading and honestly farm your 10-15k ISK per hour, if you are smart and arrogant and are not afraid of lowsec, then all 25-30KK per hour becomes boring - you want something more - more money in the end we move on to the next important stage
4. INTRAIMPERIAL TRADE

Idea? The idea is the same: buy cheaper, sell more expensive - but we will not buy and sell trading goods that we are already tired of, but goods for players - in particular, modules for ships, let's start with something simple - open the above-mentioned Eve Central website and start looking for interesting trading pairs - the world of goods for dynamic players, prices are constantly jumping and the situation is changing, there are practically no stable routes within the empire, and if there are, they will not last long - so you will have to look for profitable goods yourself - I can only advise you to pay attention to T2 modules - and nameplate rar - why? Because they are more expensive, so will the same 10-30% markup bring in more profit in the end?
Where to start? Well, first you need to learn a few ideas - the global rule is that in places where people are concentrated, cheap goods are cheaper, rare ones are more expensive - the opposite is also true
In general, this rule is followed - but the main money is made on exceptions?))
Namely, Jita - Jita is the main shopping center of the game - yes, it’s laggy and there are tons of people there, and the andok from station 4-4 is torture - get used to it - this system will be your home - and in this system, probably 80% of speculators are concentrated - the poet of the price jumping like crazy
A simple and real example - I’m sitting here clicking on ev central - here I’m looking at orders for the sale of Gyrostabs T2 4kk and in Shinkyu Layson 2kk - sales volume per day is about 200 pieces
Those 400kk themselves climb into your hands - although it should be the other way around, because Sinkyu is a much less populated system than Zhita - and the competition there is lower - I hit the road to Sink and bought all the gyroscopes that were there, then flying through the lone track I saw that there was a batch of 1kk gyrostubs lying there
In general, I can potentially earn 3kkk due to noob errors, I only earned 1.8kkk
In the chapter on speculation we will look at this in more detail.
And so you found a profitable pair, bought the goods, brought them to Zhita, or wherever you sell them there, and then you have a choice that you were deprived of while doing NPC trading - you can sell the goods according to another person’s purchase order and get money right now - and you can put up yours sell order for a product and receive money later (after the purchase), but significantly more - of course, our choice as true hucksters is almost always (exceptions will be discussed in the chapter on speculation) these are our own sell orders - this means we will need many orders and for this we need skills - and so we came to the creation of a trading alt
This alt with pumped up trading skills and high charisma will be used by us to place orders - the scheme is as follows - they brought it with a chain link - they handed it over to the trading alt - he placed orders - on the basic generation you can create a character who will be able to do almost all trading skills right away and at a very decent level level - such a shirt for a guy can be made for any race, but my personal choice is galent-galent-activist-entrepreneur, otherwise it doesn’t matter as long as you have the necessary skills
Inside, imperial trade is not as stable as trade in NPC goods, but it brings in a lot more money in terms of time/claims - you will quickly reach the level of 50-100kk profit per day - but there is one thing - are they competitive?)) motherfucker
All or almost all orders to sell and buy are generated by people - they are interested in selling at a higher price and buying at a lower price, and they are also interested in selling faster
The mechanism for implementing orders is based on the order book principle, which is familiar to everyone who has ever traded in Forex or Forex.
What is the idea, all orders are collected in a pool on top of selling from below buying - the cheapest (lower) sale and the most expensive (buy) are realized if you have an order to buy titanium for 100 ISK and Vasya Pupkin has an order to buy titanium for 101 ISK and then some um, drunk and drag the titanium to the station and decide to sell it - then it will be sold for 101 isk - and your order will remain unexecuted
If you are a GM who got drunk and bet with another GM who can sell 5 titans faster, then if you place an order to sell titanium for 100 ISK and your competitor for 99.99 ISK - and some guy Vasechkin presses - bye - then sell the titanium for 99.99
What does this mechanism lead to? Well, let’s say a certain product is sold in life for 3kk
You found where you can get it for 1.7kk - sales volumes per day are significant - you brought 2 daily volumes of this product into your life - you looked at the market and cunningly set the price 0.1 isk less than the lowest bid - and you sit there anticipating profit - but it wasn’t to be - the evil badger does not sleep - after some time you find out that your order hangs and hangs and is not executed, or a couple of pieces were sold and everything is dead - what happened? It’s just that your competitors outbid your order by lowering their orders - changing orders is done like this - open Vallet (wallet) there is an orders tab - select the desired right-click and modify - enter a new price (ATTENTION ALWAYS WATCH ENTERING THE PRICE) there is an operational delay of 2 for changing orders minutes, in my opinion, by changing the order once, you can make the next change after a certain time - therefore, strategically split the batch into two orders and while one is delayed, interrupt competitors’ orders with the other.
The general conclusion is that this requires attention + some understanding of the internal process and features of the Eva market - so don’t stress if at first it doesn’t work out - this is normal, a lot will come with experience
General conclusions - internal imperial trade is potentially the most profitable - decent markup - huge turnover - hypothetical profit is unlimited - there are no ceilings - but there is a problem - vigilant vigilance and the fight against insidious competitors are required (methods and tactics of the fight will be discussed later) - I want something more calm? What is the surest source of profit? Then we move on to the next stage

5.TRADE AT ZERO
And so yes, zeros - terrible terrible zeros - inhabited by wild dissatisfied creatures called pvp people who are trying to ovize and pawn everyone - what does this threaten us specifically - in that our peaceful truck can be hit, which will lead to financial losses in the amount of the cargo
Important information about zeros

  • They are empty - there is practically no one there anywhere
  • There, the rule is followed that the price of common goods rises in inverse proportion to the number of people - or, more simply put, everything there is twice as expensive as it is (are your eyes lighting up? Okay)
  • Since they are empty, it means there are very low speeds, so dim the light in your eyes?
  • But this does not prevent us from earning about 100kk per week from one station with virtually no competition and hassles
The sad news is that the good old warp stubs and instabs will not help us - due to the fact that there are bubbles in the zeros - a bubble is such a blue sphere with a diameter of up to 52 km inside which warp is not possible no matter how many stubs you have - this sphere may be the result of installing a mobile warp disruptor or a traffic jam thrown by the announcer - however, it doesn’t matter to us what matters is that we can be shot down
How to deal with this? There are two solutions that can and should be used in combination
    1. Get positive stands - that is, those little blue pluses that will make you invisible to the vast majority of evil pvp players living in a given region - what you need to do for this - for this it is tedious to find out which alliance or coalition of alliances the majority of evil pvp players in this sector belong to - and join one of the corps of this alliance or a corp that has positive stands with this alliance
But this is not a panacea as there is always a risk of running into non-local stray pvp players, which will be very offensive, there is a solution for this
    2. In Popu there is a peaceful truck - it is not only unnecessary and partly harmful - the fact is that the sales volume in the zeros is so low that we will sell the Indian load for half a year, if not more - hence the morality, why do we need it - we take a corvette ops called Chitah and install it 2 cargo estenders and 1 warp stub (for every firefighter) Ministry of Internal Affairs in a medical cloak in high - all almost 400 cubic meters of cargo are ours, this is approximately a month’s sales volume at one station (if you sell only small and expensive ones and do not waste money on cartridges) and all chances of losing a ship with goods drops sharply, and if you also have a scout, they drop to the lowest possible minimum
And so, when alts join the corps, we get access to stations and outposts - and to facilitate passage to zeros, once a week we fly in/log in to the alt to check the status of orders and maybe drop off goods + NPC stations to which access is free (but more active activity is possible there competition)
If you have stable online and a lot of alts (alts cost pennies), then nothing prevents you from keeping, for example, all the active stations of the northern + southern coalition - and earning a modest 1kkk from this per week
What to carry? Well, think for yourself - my advice is simple - T2 and the required T1 which does not get stolen in this region - for example, T 1 shreds
Which T2? Yes, you can easily climb onto the keel board of the station holder - and look at the most drained spike and then what they are fitted with - and again you are lucky +3\4 implants for Persian and Int are in demand almost everywhere
The rest is just experience and experiments - go for it.

Almost everything in the world of EVE Online can be purchased on the in-game market by pressing Alt+R. Also, you can find any thing you need if you enter its name in the search bar. You can find out about the items that are available for purchase at the station at solar system or even in the entire region on the tab of the market window, which is called “View”.

When you find what you need to buy, all you have to do is place your order to buy the item. You can take advantage of offers already placed by other players or create your own buy order to try to purchase things at a lower price.

Register for EVE Online and conquer space together with the whole world. A completely redesigned beginner training system will help you with this!

Please note that all items in the EVE Online market are sold at space stations and, after purchase, are moved to the player's personal hangar on that station.

Trading on the EVE Online Market doesn't stop for a second. You might be surprised how quickly you can buy and sell products. However, do not forget that information about the availability and cost of goods is available in the in-game market within a radius no further than the current region. And there are quite a lot of regions in EVE Online. Thus, to find out prices on a market in another region, you will need to move there.

How can I find out what and when to buy?

Shop at the market when you need it. A good place to start working with the market in EVE Online is with those textbooks that were not given to you when completing training assignments, but which you need for further play.

If you want to use a certain spaceship, use a specific type of weapon, improve your armor or shields, learn how to use drones, process ore more efficiently - then for all this and much more you need certain skills. Likewise, you may later want to buy another ship and better equipment.

    Are market prices fixed?

Market prices in EVE Online are not fixed, but prices for certain publicly available items vary very little. The economy and market in EVE Online are almost entirely regulated by the players themselves (apart from rare exceptions) and therefore prices for the same goods in different regions can vary greatly.

Considering that many things in EVE Online are created only by players, their value is regulated according to the economic laws of the market and only with their help. In very rare cases, special unique blueprints for the production of certain spaceships were in the hands of individual corporations owned by players, and this, in turn, led to an absolute monopoly of such a corporation in the market for ships of this type.

Also, it is common that the price of equipment depends on the distance of the region from the central areas with a high level of security - the further away from secure systems, the more expensive the equipment is. This is due to the fact that in this case the cost of production and transportation increases and corresponding risks are imposed.

All of these facts show the complexity and depth of the EVE Online economy, where a player can become incredibly rich through hard work as well as through market speculation and careful selection of trade routes.

What does a completely player-driven market mean?

In EVE Online, the price of an item on the market, the quantity in a certain region, or even just its availability is almost always determined only by the behavior of the players. Some rare items can be purchased by one pilot and stored in order to sell it later at a higher price.

Control of certain positions, speculation in goods, and even supply and demand are almost always determined only by the players, who are the main driving force of the entire game economy of EVE Online.

    PRIMARY Willpower&Charisma, SECONDARY Charisma&Memory

    Basic skill.
    Trade (Willpower/Charisma) 1×18k
For each skill level, the player receives an increase in the limit of the maximum number of sell orders by 4.

    Group skills.
    Retail
For each skill level, the player receives an increase in the maximum number of all orders by 8.

Broker Relations (Willpower/Charisma) 2×90k (Trade II)
Each time you place an order (buy or sell) you pay a commission of 1%. With each skill level you reduce the commission percentage by 0.05% (first skill level, commission 0.95%, second 0.9%...).
The percentage of the current commission can be viewed in the orders tab “Base Broker fee”.
Note: when canceling an order, the commission is not refunded.
The amount of the commission is also affected by your standing in the faction to which the station belongs.

    Marketing (Charisma/Memory) 3×3.150kk (Trade II)
Ability to place sell orders remotely. Each skill level increases the allowed distance between the seller and the item being sold.
The first level of skill allows you to sell within the solar system.

Fifth level - allows you to sell items located anywhere within the current region.

Procurement (Charisma/Memory) 3×1.350 (Trade II, Marketing II)
Ability to remotely place buy orders. Each skill level increases the allowed distance between the player and the purchase order being placed.
The first level of skill allows you to place orders within the solar system.
Level two - increases this distance to all systems within a radius of 5 jumps from the player.
Subsequent (third and fourth) levels double this distance.
Fifth level - allows you to place purchase orders throughout the region.
Note: placing “purchase orders” and purchasing goods offered on the market by other sellers are not the same thing. Simply purchasing a product on the market that is offered for sale by other sellers does not require any skills.

Visibility (Charisma/Memory) 3×6.75 (Trade II, Marketing II, Procurement IV)
Ability to purchase goods from a distance. Each skill level increases the range of your purchase orders.
The first level allows your orders to operate within the solar system.
The second level increases this distance to all systems within a radius of 5 jumps from the order.

The fifth level expands the scope of the purchase order to the entire region.
Note: Only remotely placed purchase orders (placed using the Procurement skill) require this skill to change the action distance. For locally placed (at the same station where the player is located) purchase orders (in the market you clicked “PLACE BUY ORDER” - placed a regular purchase order) you can specify any range of action and this does not require skills.

    Daytrading (Charisma/Memory) 1×11.25kk (Trade IV)
The skill allows you to remotely modify orders.
The first level allows you to change orders within the solar system.
The second level increases this distance to all systems within a radius of 5 jumps from the player.
Subsequent (third and fourth) levels double this distance.
The fifth level allows you to modify orders throughout the region.

    Accounting (Charisma/Memory) 3×4.5kk (Trade IV)
Every time you sell something, you pay sales tax of 1% of the price. For the skill level, you reduce this tax by 0.1% (that is, having the 1st skill level, the tax will be 0.9%. 5th skill level, the tax will be 0.5%).
The tax percentage can be viewed on the orders tab under the inscription "transaction tax".

Margin Trading (Charisma/Memory) 3×18kk (Trade IV, Accounting IV)
The ability to make potentially risky investments of your capital. Each skill level reduces the ISK interest rate applied to purchase orders in escrow. Starting from 100% at level 1, each skill level reduces the value by 25%.

Wholesale (Charisma/Memory) 4×31.5kk (Trade II, Marketing II, Retail V)
For each skill level, the player receives an increase in the maximum number of all orders by 16.

Tycoon (Charisma/Memory) 6×90kk (Trade II, Retail V, Marketing IV, Wholesale V)
For each skill level, the player receives an increase in the maximum number of all orders by 32.

    Generic skill.
Black Market Trading (Willpower/Charisma) 2x (Trade II, Retail II)
Successful smuggling skills. Bonus: reducing the chance of being caught by customs with contraband (base 90%) by 10% per skill level.
Note: Not sold on the market, can only be obtained at birth.

    • At the same time, you undertake to work responsibly, using only honestly earned claims in trading. Any attempts to sell illegally mined game currency are closely monitored and severely punished;
    • You are required to instantly execute all accepted orders, as well as create screenshots of each important moment of the transaction. The latter is required for a visual report on the closure of the transaction;
    • When you accept an order, all responsibility for its correct execution falls on your shoulders. Carefully study the details of each order so as not to mistakenly send Eva claims to another player.
    • You see, in fact, if you approach making money in the EVE Online game carefully and responsibly, then no problems or difficulties will arise. On the contrary, you will have a strong incentive to develop more actively in the game, upgrade your spaceships, improve and increase the ways of earning ISK, because every success in the vast expanses of the universe will directly affect the level of your earnings in this game.
