The Florentine sachet is a thin, waxy aromatic tile that can be used both to scent rooms, and in a linen closet or on shelves with clothes. Due to its composition, the tile does not melt, so there is no risk of staining things. But the aroma is retained in such a tile for up to 6 months. A sachet decorated with dried flowers, spices or dried fruit slices can be an original and exquisite gift for true connoisseurs of aromatherapy.

Recipe for making a Florentine sachet at home:

Manufacturing technology:

Waxes must be melted, mixed, cooled a little, add an aromatic composition and poured into any shape, so that after solidification it is possible to give the tile a simple rectangular or square shape. The optimal thickness of the tile is 5-6 mm. From above, you can put and slightly drown the decorations you have planned: dried flowers, dried orange slice, cinnamon stick, star anise or other spices - this will make the tile not only fragrant, but also beautiful.

Advice:

After hardening, you can use culinary cuttings to give the tile a more complex shape (asterisk, heart, etc.)

If you put a cocktail tube into the uncured wax and hold it until the wax "seizes", then the finished tile will have a neat round hole into which you can thread the ribbon.

You can put dense embossed lace on the bottom of your mold, and after the wax has hardened, carefully remove it, then the surface of your tile will be lacy and will not require additional decorations.

FLORENTINE SASH. The tradition of flavoring rooms, linen closets, has probably existed for as long as civilization itself. Fragrant oils were burned in the ancient world, the floors of medieval castles were lined with fragrant straw. Yes, and today it is customary to put a bag of lavender or other dried flowers in a wardrobe. We also know from our grandmothers that orange peels or lavender flowers repel moths and smell much nicer than mothballs. Usually, under the phrase “aromatic sachet”, we immediately imagine exactly a bag of herbs, but this is not always the case; in Florence, it is customary to hang a wax plate flavored with oils in a closet. The Florentine sachet is a little magical aromatic treat based on beeswax and fragrance. As flavorings, I chose essential oils, because. they are natural, but you can use aromatic fragrances, as you wish. But I am a supporter of everything natural and high quality. And the aroma of wax is so enchanting .... I didn’t think that it had such a heady smell! Especially now, when it is winter outside, I take the wax in my palms and inhale the warm honey aroma, close my eyes and here it is summer, the sun, grass, flowers .... After reading information on the Internet, I finally decided to experiment. , I tell you, it is addictive, like any hobby. I put my sachet with lavender in the bed linen closet and hung it next to the pillow in the bedroom for a good sleep. I hung it in the kitchen with the smell of coffee. And she put the vanilla sachet in her personal laundry box. They write that the fragrance will last about 2 months, we'll see. After the fragrance has evaporated, it will be possible to melt the wax again and make a new sachet. You can add any dried herbs, dried orange slices, spices, there are many options. In a sachet with cinnamon, the cinnamon itself was drowned in wax, now I will know that I need to stand a little time before laying down the cinnamon. I grew lavender myself and I still have it worth its weight in gold, because. bloomed only the second year, I hope this year the harvest will be larger and I will start adding it to the soap. A bit of history: For the first time, such a sachet was produced by the oldest pharmacy in Florence "Pharmaceutical di Santa Maria Novella", which has been working for customers since 1612! This pharmacy works to this day and also produces various products made according to old recipes!!! Imagine her story! more than four centuries, I am delighted, I wish I could go there. I love the history of the times of apothecary gardens, monastic orders and painstakingly seek out historical information about the manufacture of medicinal potions, medicinal herbs and aromatic oils ... Sometimes it seems to me that I lived in the Middle Ages and practiced alchemy. I still re-read and review the book and the film "Perfumer" with rapture, my husband says that I am a maniac))). p.s. It has already been 2 days since I made them, the aroma of the house is incredible and delicate, to be honest, I did not expect that there would be such an effect !!! You can now do without the aroma lamp)))

Hello friends! 🙂

Do you love creativity?
What a stupid question, why are you here, if not for creativity, right?
Oh, this creative muse! Sometimes, in the process of making seemingly ordinary things, the beautiful Fairy of Inspiration does not allow you to make everything too simple, shows your creation from a different angle - and now, you are already passionate about a new idea!

So am I. I decided to make flavoring plates from soy wax with an amazing aroma (I really fell in love with it !!!). I got distracted and somewhere “accidentally” saw painted gingerbread cookies with animal faces. Drawing inspiration from confectioners is the most favorite thing. And, of course, I just couldn't help but give this idea a go!

Wax (Florentine) sachets for aromatization of the house were made, as always, with their own hands.

Sasha turned out very cute. Now, opening the closet, I always smile :))), and it is always worth a lot!

What are fragrant wax plates for?

They aromatize rooms, cabinets, boxes, linen.

It is enough to put a couple of plates in a box with bedding or towels - and they will be fragrant with your favorite scents.

Sometimes it's great to put such a record in a gift box - then when unpacking, the donee will be doubly pleased 🙂

Well, there is nothing to do here at all :)))

You will need:

Soy wax weigh out

And melt in a water bath. Add fragrance ".

Pour into a round shape. Thickness 6-8 mm.

In slightly hardened wax, outline the contours of the muzzle with a knife.

Carefully remove the cut pieces

Place in a melting pot and add bronze mother-of-pearl.

Pour the "cheeks" of the muzzle.

If the edges are uneven, you can trim them with a hot spoon.

We warm the spoon

And smooth out the bumps

Make an indentation for the nose with a hot spoon. And we make a nose with a bean.

We make eyes out of peppercorns. you can draw eyelashes cosmetic. pencil.

And we make ears 🙂

I also made holes for the thread with a hot awl so that I could hang the sachet.

And threaded the ropes.

Everything is ready! In this way, you can greatly diversify the appearance of your sachets. And be sure to involve the children - they will be delighted!

Have fun and have a nice day!

We'll need natural beeswax, sachet filler and essential oils.

Sachet molds no need to buy. These can be silicone molds for cookies and muffins, can be lids from cans and even plastic mugs.

Manufacturing technology:

1. Melt the beeswax in a water bath. To do this, place a small enamel mug or bowl of wax in a saucepan with water.
Wax will melt faster if you grate it or try to grind it as much as possible.
While the wax is melting, feel free to inhale the aroma of natural beeswax - this is an excellent inhalation for the prevention and treatment of inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.

2. Once the wax has completely melted, remove the bowl from the water bath and pour the wax into the mold in a thin layer (about 0.5-1 cm)
To prevent the dishes from spoiling while the wax residue in the bowl is still warm, wipe the dishes, collecting all the wax with a napkin, the rest will not be difficult to wash with water.

3. While the wax has not hardened, lay out dried flowers, spices or dried fruits as you like and desire.

4. Do not forget to drop essential oils. The combination of coniferous essential oils, orange/mandarin and cinnamon will create a festive mood in the room.

5. Put a cocktail tube into the uncured wax and hold it until the wax "grabs". This is necessary so that the finished tile has a neat round hole through which you can thread the ribbon.

6. Leave the mold with wax on a flat surface until it hardens.

7. To remove the sachet from the mold quickly and without damage, place the mold in the freezer for 20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, remove the sachet from the mold.

It will be beautiful if you pack the finished sachet in a bag or wrap it in wrapping paper.
