Recently appeared on iHerb the new kind delivery of orders to Russia - service SPSR Express. The last few of my orders from iHerb I sent through them. Very satisfied with this service, albeit this moment hinders the tracking of parcels. But this is not so important, because they deliver very quickly - even faster than. In the article I will tell you in detail about the features of ordering and delivery through SPSR Express.

In general, when SPSR first appeared on iHerb, I did not understand why they were added, since the cost was calculated higher than that of Boxberry - not only for my city, but in principle for many settlements that I checked. The conditions are the same:

  • term 1-3 weeks(comes to my suburbs in a week),
  • maximum order amount 150$ and weight no more 5 kg.
  • Shipping costs are calculated based on the amount and weight of the order.

However, currently ordering delivery from iHerb Service SPSR Express became even more profitable than Boxberry. Moreover, strange thing, their courier service is also cheaper than to pick-up points and parcel terminals. Still, a wonderful thing is competition! 🙂 In general, if Boxberry does not do something, a massive outflow of iHerb buyers to SPSR is inevitable.

Update: Boxberry started doing something. 🙂 Now there is often a promotion for free shipping to their points of issue without any additional markups (usually with an order amount of $60 or more). And in such periods I choose them again.

The great advantage of SPSR Express is that it has its own service courier delivery. Boxberry is used for these purposes by other companies. Therefore, firstly, they are not so flexible in the formation of tariffs and are unlikely to ever surpass the SPSR in principle. Secondly, from the moment the parcel ordered through Boxberry arrived in Moscow to its delivery, it usually took me 2-3 business days. SPSR is delivered immediately the next day after arrival. To Moscow, parcels go at the same speed.

So, now in detail about the delivery of orders from iHerb via SPSR Express, their tracking and receipt.

Shipping with SPSR Express

In the shopping cart on the iHerb website, choose one of two options:

  • SPSR Courier delivery.
  • SPSR Pickup points.

In the next step, you need to provide information for customs and courier.

The form has not yet been fully translated, but "passport number" should not raise questions for those who do not speak English. By default, the drop-down list is selected "Citizen's passport Russian Federation”- that is, our internal passport. But you can also specify other documents, which, first of all, will be useful to non-citizens of Russia who want to order something from iHerb to Russia.

The list includes:

  • Identity card or military ID.
  • Seafarer's passport.
  • Foreign passport (whether this is a field for our abroad, or for foreign citizens who want to order to Russia, or both).
  • Temporary identity card of a citizen of the Russian Federation.
  • Residence permit in the Russian Federation.
  • Passport / identity card of a citizen of Kazakhstan.

If earlier you chose courier delivery, then after entering the data for customs, specify the address where to deliver (or choose from the previously specified ones).

If you have chosen delivery to the pick-up point, then at the next step you will need to find your settlement in a special field, after which a map with pick-up points and post offices will open.

Another advantage of SPSR Express is a wider network of points for receiving your package. While there is only one Boxberry pick-up point in my city, and it only recently appeared, SPSR offers as many as 4 options.

After this step, there is a transition to the choice of the payment method and the payment itself, which I described in. I'll talk more about tracking here.

SPSR Express Parcel Tracking

I didn't use delivery SPSR Express to pick-up points and parcel terminals, because for some reason it is more expensive than courier delivery to your home (or office), and at the same time, it’s less convenient for me personally. However, in terms of tracking the parcel, there should be no difference.

The transition to information about the movement of the parcel is carried out, as in the case of delivery by Boxberry- through a link in the letter from iHerb that the order has been sent, and from the order history in personal account. Then the differences begin.

Initially, a not very informative page of the iHerb website opens. And only when you click on the SPSR Express tracking number, you go to their website with more detailed information about the parcel.

And here the alarmists are waiting for a test. Within about 5-6 days, the order is in the status "Awaiting arrival in the country of destination (recipient)".

At the same time, the following message may unexpectedly appear in the tracking on the iHerb website:

Fortunately, on the 6th-7th day the parcel arrives and quickly runs through all instances. And the very next business day, it will be delivered to you by courier. 🙂

At the same time, 2 SMS messages come to the phone:

  • the first one about the arrival of the parcel with the delivery date, as well as a link to manage the delivery - in case it is more convenient for you on another day;
  • the second is that the order was issued to the courier - directly in the morning on the day of delivery.

If the order arrived late in the evening, as it was the first time for me, then in the morning both SMS messages will fall one after the other.

Well, that's it, wait for the courier. Despite the fact that I live 100 km from Moscow, the courier arrives at my place at around 11 am.

In general, the cool delivery service SPSR Express. For orders from iHerb, I now only use it (at least as long as it is cheaper than other methods), and I recommend it to you.

For the second time I am trying to use the services of the SPSR in Novorossiysk - and the second time I am simply surprised: how disgustingly the work on the delivery of parcels in the Novorossiysk branch is set.
Yesterday, May 2, I had to deliver a package from an online store, which I was really looking forward to on that very day. Since the delivery on May 2 from 9.00 to 18.00 was notified by SMS two weeks before this day, naturally, I waited for the courier all day from the very morning - despite the beautiful long-awaited May weather. But the next SMS at 14.32 "about the transfer of the parcel to the courier" disappointed: I wasted half a day in vain ... But from that moment on, I spent the rest of the day just hugging the phone! And from 16.00 I was just standing at the gate waiting for 17.00 .... 18.00 .... - then I realized that the promised delivery would not happen. But
she did not leave the gate, but continued to wait, sitting on a bench near the house. Is it a little...
And what do you think! Everything happened exactly the same as exactly a year ago (a year ago it was April 30 at 13.00):
exactly at 18.38 my phone crackled from the "UNKNOWN" number, I "hello-hello" - and then the call fell off! Very handy when you don't want to work. It was in vain to wait for a call back - I already understood that in the Novorossiysk branch this rule is - the client is a fool, and the courier is always right. It is, of course: a beautiful May evening, what the hell wasting it on such nonsense as searching for some street in new buildings ....
What is MOST INTERESTING: half an hour later at 19.03 an SMS arrives: AMAZING BUSINESS, it turns out that the courier (I quote) "did not find you at 18.15 at the address Novorossiysk, street ..... house 15" .... And why at 18.15, if delivery is promised from 9 to 18....? And as they say, was it a boy?! And does he even know where it is, this street...

I would like to ask you, dear leader of very resourceful couriers:
1. Why dispatchers are different transport companies call up in the morning and ask in detail: how to get to the address, writing down all the details in waybill, even if the courier will go to the addressee only in the evening? - and calls must be from a phone with FEEDBACK so that the client has the opportunity to call back himself, if suddenly something is wrong?
2. Why do couriers arrive in other shopping malls without a call?
And if the courier cannot find the way, he checks the route with the client by calling from a normal number with FEEDBACK.
4. Why more than two weeks (worse than by Russian post!!!) pass from the moment the parcel is transferred by the sender to the SPSR - until the day of delivery by the courier in Novorossiysk.
I can ask you a lot more "why", dear director ... But I won't ... Because your company will NEVER reach the European level of service until you are closely engaged in personnel ...
All of the above can be checked through mobile operator Megaphone dated May 2: and the only call from your courier to my number at 18.38 (and the delivery was supposed to be from 9.00 to 18.00), and my answer to this call within 2 seconds, and then the courier's unanswered interrupted .... Even the fact that he did not bother to re-dial my number suggests that the person was, apparently, not quite adequate on this warm May evening ..., and HE DOES NOT NEED IT at all ....
However, this is already de-ja-vu: you also spoiled the last May Day holiday in 2016 for me: I had to refuse a parcel with holiday outfits, which instead of April 30, the SPSR wished to hand me on May 4 ...

I ordered a parcel from America, it says delivery from 7-14 days! I've been waiting for 2 months, it's not lost, but it's being checked by customs. I write to the support service, they say we will deliver it soon!

For the past few years, I have been ordering regularly from iherb, delivered by boxberry (great delivery service). But this time, when placing the last order, the program automatically chose your company, unfortunately, I did not pay attention to this, for which, in fact, I paid. The parcel came in 7 days - that was the only plus. On 11/25/2017 I received an SMS message that the parcel will be delivered by courier on 11/27/2017. But I had to spend this day on the road, so...

Here in Ulan-Ude, the SPSR moved to an indistinct address that you can't find. There is no telephone in the branch, that is, in general, there is no connection with them. I called the central office in Moscow - they also explained to me that they had no connection with their Ulan-Ude branch. I will change the company - do not send, do not receive, it is unrealistic to call a courier (there is nowhere to call). How they work is not at all clear.

Already since 01/08/17, the parcel has been lying around in SPSR warehouses, delivery has already been postponed three times. Operators like robots have been correctly observed by others. They themselves carry out the transfer of delivery to another day. No call to courier. The control service is a filkin's letter, no answer, no greetings. Strongly dissatisfied with the work of this "Express" service. Where can one complain about them?
