Complete archive of the popular science and technology magazine "Model designer"- monthly periodical, in each issue of which thorough drawings, diagrams, instructions and descriptions of a variety of home-made designs are printed. The project was founded in the already distant August 1962 in Moscow - at first it was published as the almanac "Young Model Designer", then, starting from January 1966, already under its current name. Well-known aircraft designers A. Tupolev, S. Ilyushin, cosmonaut Yu. Gagarin gave good parting words to the new edition. This year the publication will celebrate its 50th anniversary! All these years, the magazine has covered and continues to cover issues of scientific and technical creativity, amateur design, talks about the history of domestic and foreign technology. Among its authors, along with famous inventors and designers, champions technical types sport - a large army of versatile craftsmen, lovers of technology, its history. Many of his publications became a kind of start for the emergence and development of new mass areas of technical creativity and sports. Thanks to the informational and organizational support of the editorial board, karting, buggies, track modeling, amateur car building, amateur design of gliders and ultralight aircraft, velomobiles and single-engine vehicles, small-scale mechanization for gardens and orchards appeared and became widespread in the country. The editorial staff of the monthly sees one of its main tasks in helping each reader, no matter what age he is, to become not only a connoisseur of technology, but also a jack of all trades, able to personally make everything necessary for work and leisure.
