How to make an apple from polymer clay. Master classes. An apple made of polymer clay using the millifiori technique. How to make an apple from polymer clay.

For amateurs polymer clay comes to your attention...

To work you will need:

  • baked polymer clay "FIMO" white, translucent white, green shade No. 50, yellow and brown
  • gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints on the apples.
  • ready-made kane leaf (I made it in advance),
  • glue,
  • brown waxed cord,
  • plastic varnish
  • and all the tools shown in the photo.

In the photo you see 2 rows of plastic balls. The top row (from left to right) is white, translucent white, yellow, green. Mix all these balls and get the tone of apple pulp. The bottom row (from left to right) is white, translucent white, green. Mix the balls and get the apple skin tone.
After manipulation of mixing tones, this is what we get!
Next, using a pasta machine (or for those who don’t have a glass bottle or jar...anything in general), roll out the green into a very, very thin layer. The skin of apples is thin, and if we make it thick, it will be ugly! From a light color, roll out balls of the size you want. These will be our apples.
Then we have to very carefully and painstakingly “envelop” the light balls in the “skin”. Take your time!!! It is necessary to avoid layering several layers of green, otherwise the skin of the apples will be uneven when cut. There is also no need to allow “subcutaneous” air bubbles. In general, we calmly and slowly make all the apples.
Next we need dots. However, you can choose something equally suitable in your home! Carefully make a dent - a depression. We will then glue the cutting there. Smooth the edges so they are smooth.
On the other side, we make the “butt” of the apple using a toothpick or a steamer. By the way, the steamer is my favorite and most convenient tool!
Then carefully, without crushing the apple, cut it with a blade. It turns out to be almost halves of an apple!
Then we take the tip from a cosmetic pencil. Or, if the apples are small, then the tip of the brush (it has a smaller diameter). And we make the middle of the apple. Then we make the “texture” of the middle of the apple. Simply put, the place where the bones will be located
Well, half of it is ready! All that remains is to glue the leaf (the stalk will be glued later) and send our apples to the oven. For 25 minutes at a temperature of 130 degrees. Bake on a soft paper napkin, under which it is better to put corrugated cardboard! It is important! Do not bake plastic on foil, baking sheets or metal in general. It gets very hot and the product will simply burn.
Roll round apples... After the apples are baked and they have cooled, you need to: - Glue a waxed lace, make a stalk and treat the tip with glue so that it does not fringe. — Paint the “butt” of the apple brown acrylic paint. - Apply varnish to the skins and seeds of the apples. The pulp is not coated or is coated with matte varnish. — drill holes in the apples using a drill with a diameter of 1 mm. - insert pins into the apples...

With this lesson we will begin a series of master classes on sculpting fruits from polymer clay. For an apple we will need several colors of polymer clay: golden, brown, greenish-beige for the pulp of the apple and a slightly darker beige; green, red or yellow is suitable for the peel, depending on which apples you like best.

Let's start with the seeds. You could just use brown, but I wanted more detail. I made a color transition from gold to brown and folded the transition like an accordion. The pieces were very small, the photo was greatly enlarged.


I squeeze, expel the air, form a sausage in the shape of a seed

Now I use darker beige plastic and place it in one layer around the seed.

We turn the color of the pulp into a barrel, and then form an apple in section:


We cut the workpiece in half, use a toothpick or a knitting needle to make a hole for the core of the apple (just roll it), put in the seeds.


Before gluing the halves, we lay a strip of beige. Wrap it in green peel.

Then we add a brown tube and a green triangle on one side, and on the other side I use brown, not completely mixed with beige:

I also decided to add a green leaf. I didn’t come up with such a simple leaf; I’ve seen it several times from different masters.

I make a color transition from beige to green and roll it up:


I cut the roll into three parts and insert brown stripes into the cuts:

I cut it diagonally and turn one part the other way around:


Between these parts I put a strip of brown color and wrap it in brown:


I put the leaf in the hollow and add more green around it:


That's it, the sausage is ready, squeeze it, cut it. I will write a large detailed article later on how you can use sausages.

And strawberries, then you can roughly imagine how apple sausages are made. We will start, as usual, with the simplest option and gradually consider more and more complex and interesting ones!

A simple red apple (sectioned)

For this craft you need 4 colors of polymer clay: white or light yellow, red, black or dark brown, green. In addition, a sharp knife and toothpicks.

Having prepared the clay of the desired colors, mold a sausage out of white or light yellow and clamp it on both sides with toothpicks. This will be the apple pulp.

From black or dark brown clay, mold two thin sausages with a round or oval shape in cross-section. These are future apple seeds.

Insert these sausages into the toothpick cavities.

Wrap the resulting sausage in a layer of clay of the same color as the pulp, i.e. white or light yellow.

Now take the red clay, knead it into a thin layer no more than one millimeter thick and wrap it around the sausage again. “Dressing” the apple in a ripe peel)

Squeeze the apple sausage. Don't roll it on the table. To prevent the design from becoming deformed, simply pull it out with your fingers and gently squeeze it. When the sausage is the desired thickness, take toothpicks and make indentations in it.

After this, the apple will take the desired shape.

You can make the base of the apple sausage narrower than the top. This will make the apple slices even more natural.

If desired, you can make a small leaf on top. To do this, roll a thin round sausage from green clay and place it in the hollow on top.

Then begin to gently smooth the green sausage in different directions so that it takes the shape of a triangle, and the apple sausage itself becomes round in cross-section. Similarly, insert a thin black sausage into the lower hollow and finally “round” the sausage in the cut.

All that remains is to bake the resulting apple sausages in the oven/air fryer. The baking temperature and time are usually indicated on the packaging. On average it is 30 minutes and 110 ℃.

After the sausages have cooled, they can be cut into slices of varying thicknesses.

And use as beads in bracelets or “fruit and berry” beads.

And also as a decoration on cakes and donuts made of polymer clay.

Green apple with leaf (section)

One of the most popular workshops on making apple sausage on the Internet was done by Ekaterina (Kalinkapolinka). Katya made her green apple using the Millefiori technique.

Let's introduce new term to broaden the horizons of beginners in clay sculpting.
The Millefiori technique is based on the method of composing a complex pattern from simpler ones. Translated, Millefiori means “a thousand flowers” ​​(mille - thousand, fiori - flowers).

Whole apple with leaf and twig

You can make a sausage with a whole apple, and not its core, even just by looking at the photo, because the principle is the same everywhere: first we make several simple elements, and then we combine them into one composition.

Here you need to first make one piece of white color in the shape of a drop (highlight), then wrap it in a layer of red clay and combine it with another piece of red clay. This way you will get 2 cut-out red sausages, round in shape, one of which will have a white highlight. We sculpt the leaves and twig in the same way and insert them into the hollow from above.

Please note that in this case the leaf and twig are NOT smoothed onto the apple itself, as in the first option. They stay convex! But the bottom of the apple can also be made round.

Today we want to teach you how to make apple slices from polymer clay. We assure you that this is the simplest lesson modeling from polymer clay, which even novice craftsmen can repeat. In addition to its simplicity, the master class pleases with its speed - creating apple slices from polymer clay will take a minimum of time and effort. Are you already interested? For the polymer clay lesson we will need:

White polymer clay (we use self-hardening)
- ivory acrylic paint
- red acrylic paint
- transparent varnish for polymer clay

Let's cook necessary materials and start a polymer clay master class for beginners and professional craftsmen

Mix white polymer clay with a drop or two of ivory acrylic paint to obtain a light beige shade. Let's roll a small ball. The balls may be uneven and slightly elongated - real apples are not perfect


Let the clay sit for several hours to dry. At this stage, the balls can be painted with red acrylic paint - apple peel. We forgot to do this and had to paint each slice separately.. Let's continue our polymer clay master class for beginners - cut the blanks into slices


If the craft is not completely dry, then slightly adjust the polymer clay apple slices with your hands and leave until completely dry. And varnish it. If you, like us, did not paint the circles with red paint, then before coating the slices with varnish you should paint the “peel” with red paint. If you painted the polymer clay balls at the very beginning, then you may only need to slightly touch up the edges of the cut.
