Types of transformer substations

Dead-end complete transformer substations are connected to only one high-voltage transmission line. Pass-through - connected to two electrical lines.

A kiosk-type transformer substation is one of the most common types of PTS. The body of such a substation is assembled from strong metal. They have good safety performance, excellent protection against environmental influences.

Outdoor installation - these are insulated substations. The body is sheathed with special panels called "sandwich". They give the substation good protection under severe climatic conditions and are equipped with SCHO-70 panels and KSO cameras. These substations are widely used in the northern regions of the Russian Federation.

Block complete transformer substation - the body is made of concrete blocks. The concrete building consists of an underground and an above-ground block.

Complete transformer substation intrashop - designed for installation only in enclosed spaces and is not suitable for operation in an open environment. Our plant manufactures KTP-VC of various types for specific needs and budgets of customers.

Mast transformer substations are used to supply electrical energy to a certain agricultural facility, these PTS have an open design.

Pole substations must be installed on special supporting pillars of the power line.

Device

Complete transformer substations KTP is a prefabricated-welded frame structure of complete factory readiness made of metal or sheathed with insulated panels of the "Sandwich" type.

The product consists of the following main compartments:

  • high voltage device compartment (UVN)
  • transformer compartment.
  • low voltage switchgear compartment (RUNN)

The transformer substation is designed with overhead or cable input/output, both on the high and low voltage sides. Air inlet / outlet products additionally include an air inlet box (tower) for connecting overhead lines.

RUVN establishes:

  • High voltage fuses;
  • Disconnectors;
  • Load switches;
  • KSO-203 with a vacuum circuit breaker BB-6(10), provided that the power of the transformer is from 1000 to 2500 kVA;
  • KSO-393 with disconnector RVZ-6(10), provided that the power of the transformer is from 25 to 160 kV-A;
  • KSO-393 with a load switch VNA-6(10), provided that the power of the transformer is from 250 to 630 kV-A;

The output of power buses or cable RUVN to the inputs of the power transformer is made through bushings or insulating plates located between TO and RUVN. The entire design of the TO should make it possible to install a power transformer with a power of 25 to 4000 kVA. All compartments of the RUVN and TO have doors, gates, with blinds built into them, which make it possible to ventilate the room in the summer. It is possible, according to certain standards, to make doors in a different design.

For security human life and unauthorized access inside the TO by unauthorized people, with the disconnectors and load switches turned on, it has wooden barriers installed on vertical door posts in special eyes.

RUNN

  • complete devices low-voltage series ShchO-70 TU 3414-001-365711427-2010;
  • automatic switches of input and outgoing connections;
  • power breakers;
  • current transformers;
  • a cabinet where a heating system and electricity meters are installed;
  • for a two-transformer KTPN, an ATS protection and automation cabinet is installed.

Through the insulating plate and glands located between TO and RUNN, the cable and power busbars are entered into RUNN from the outputs of the power transformer. To drain outgoing cables, holes are made in the RUNN floor for their output. According to the existing PTS scheme, holes are made in the floor. Close the holes with rubber seals. The RUNN design makes it possible to connect to an overhead line of 0.4 kV and to a cable line.

With the help of bolts, a high-entry chamber, a high-entry portal are attached to the roof in order to connect it to a 6-10 kV overhead line above the RUNN or RUVN compartment on the roof. In order to ensure that the protection meets the standards, a rubber seal is supplied at the joints.

Air entry equipment

  • support insulators;
  • bushing insulators;
  • pin insulators;
  • surge arresters.

RUVN and RUNN in KTP, according to the current standards, must withstand certain number switching on and off without damage. The design of the PTS should ensure the accurate operation of metering, measuring, control, signaling devices during the operation of the devices installed in it. Without dismantling the RUNN, it is possible to replace the power transformer. All bolted and collapsible connections assembly units PTS are equipped with devices that prevent spontaneous unscrewing during operation of the equipment.

PTS are supplied fully assembled or in the form of blocks that can be assembled on site and inside of which all switching devices are already located. KTP have bushings in the performance of category A and B according to GOST 9920, these are air bushings with surge arresters on the LV and HV side.

Additional locks are provided on the outer doors of the KTP, so that no one gets inside without authorization. The locks of the substation have different secrets and are able to withstand more than 1000 closings and openings.

To illuminate panels with measuring instruments and device control handles, these panels have stationary light sources inside with a voltage of not more than 42 V, and there is also a socket for a portable lamp. In RUNN, everything is provided for the installation of portable grounding in accordance with GOST 21130.

With the help of heating elements in RUNN KTP UHL1 and RUVN, air heating is provided for the normal operation of the built-in equipment. Switching off and on of all heating devices is carried out automatically or, if desired, manually.

Without removing the voltage from the main circuits of the transformer substation, installation of devices and devices of auxiliary circuits is provided.

It is possible to monitor the state of the RUVN with high-voltage fuses. They have operation indicators without de-energizing the main circuits.

UVN blocking

  • blocking of grounding knives and main knives, preventing two knives from being in working condition at the same time, preventing the switching on of the grounding knives when the main knives are on, or preventing the switching on of the main knives when the grounding knives are on;
  • a blocking that does not allow the disconnector to be turned off when the load is on, when they want to turn off through a higher voltage source;
  • blocking that does not allow the door to the KSO in RUVN to open when there is voltage on the busbars of the main KSO and does not allow the load switch to be turned on when the KSO door is open;

  • non-explosive environment, without explosive dust, without gas-aggressive vapors, in concentrations capable of destroying insulation, metal;
  • up to 9 points on the M5K-64 scale seismic resistance according to GOST 17516.1.

Main characteristics

KTP can be deciphered as an abbreviation of complete transformer substations, which are used so that the current of the high-voltage network can be changed.

Traditionally, such structures are made in the form metal case with a transformer converter placed inside, suggesting from 25 to 4 thousand kW of power. The neutral at such substations is grounded. It is possible to use them virtually everywhere - at small industrial facilities, in various residential areas, in agriculture enterprises in construction.

The key advantages of these facilities are reliable operation and relatively low cost. The price of a PTS is twice, and sometimes even three times lower than that of transformer substations. These power supply facilities are produced according to a special methodology in conditions of strict compliance with the standards that are regulated by GOSTs. As a result, if necessary, this equipment is quite possible to "KTP" completely under a variety of requirements.

Types of PTS

TP (transformer substations) are subdivided according to their location into external and internal locations. The equipment of the T.P. of the internal installation is located in a capital building. Traditionally, this type of substation is used at production facilities. Outdoor electrical substations are used more and more in urban communications. Their sizes can be varied. Foundations are poured under particularly bulky equipment.

The capacities and uses of CHFs are very diverse. According to this indicator, these electrical installations are divided into the following options:

By structural elements, stations of this type are divided into mast, ground and integrated. The first are located on vertical pillars. Ground-mounted substations are completed in metal, reinforced concrete cases or in blocks of sandwich panels.

General characteristics

PTS are traditionally used in power supply complexes for the own needs of consumers, manufacturing companies, as well as mines and mines. If we take into account two-component substations, then we must take into account that they have a sectional module that includes two inputs, including those from DPP (diesel power plant).

The environment must meet the following requirements:

  • Explosion-proof.
  • Vapors and gases hostile to insulating materials must not be contained.
  • Conductive Dust electricity, should be absent.

Device

The usual complete set of feeding devices consists of 3 components. All of them are located in a metal case, a welded case made of sheets and a profile. It contains a UVN (high voltage device), a low voltage switchgear and the transformer itself.

For the production of maintenance, electricians enter the premises through swing gates. All electrical connections are made using busbar connections or flexible connections. KTP also includes a device for external inclusions and other components that maintain the required parameters.

External transformer points, unlike KTPM (mast substations), have a much larger range of capacities. This makes it possible to use external complete devices in the widest range of applications, and there are also samples with 25-4 thousand kilovolt ampere characteristics.

The normal operation of the KTPN is due to the organization of installation work prescribed by special standards. The manufacturer has the opportunity to deliver the device to the place of operation in blocks or fully assembled. The assembly diagram is located on the front side.

Shipping elements ready for installation work. It is not necessary to disassemble the switching equipment. The reliability of hidden connections is checked before assembly. Assembly components are equipped with special devices for the use of lifting mechanisms for movement and lifting. The assembled substation is placed on a flat surface. Before the start of use, tests of all complexes of the electrical substation are organized.

Completeness

The set of devices and systems in the device of CTPN is diverse. Most used components:

The list of funds used is adjusted by the wishes of the customer.

Types of transformer stations

A large number of various complete devices are now produced. Substations of the first type are connected to only one power line. They are called dead ends. Substations of the second type are connected to two power lines. These are walk-through CTPs. Third, the most commonly used are kiosk electrical substations.

Application specifics

Key appliances that need regular repairs in electrical substations are the switchboard technology and, in fact, the electrical transformer itself. When using CTP, the following rules should be followed:

Installation of the PTS installation at the production site consists of the following key elements:

  • high voltage input device;
  • oil or dry power transformer;
  • distribution cabinet for voltage outlet.

During the production, assembly and service of the electrical substation, comply with the technical regulations, uninterrupted and long-term operation is guaranteed. Otherwise, the user may encounter problems in operation. As a result, select the manufacturer of the PTS should be done in the most thorough manner, focusing first on the reputation of firms offering such services.

KTP substation connection diagrams are radial or main. Radial, switched on according to the scheme block - power lines - electric transformer, are connected tightly. At the main line, an UVN shield is additionally installed. Connection to one line of several KTS is possible with their power of 1000-1200 kVA.

If KTPN is connected, then the cables are connected by means of a KNTP-terminal coupling for outdoor installation.

Complete transformer substations are used both at industrial enterprises and in municipal networks of settlements. Their main advantage is considered to be reliability in operation and relative cheapness. KTP cost two, and sometimes three times cheaper than conventional transformer stations. This electrical equipment is produced according to a special technology with strict observance of the standards stipulated by GOSTs. Therefore, if necessary, such a substation can be selected absolutely for any line.

Types of PTS

At the place of installation, complete transformer substations are classified into KTP and KTPN proper. Blocks of the first type are installed indoors. Such substations are usually used in production. KTPN are more often used in utility networks. The dimensions of the substation of both types may be different. A foundation is laid for large installations.

A KTP substation can have different capacities and purposes. On this basis, such equipment is divided into the following categories:

    PTS with transformers with power from 25 to 400 kW. Such stations are installed outside.

    KTP for industrial enterprises. This option is equipped with transformers with power from 160 to 250 kW.

    Prefabricated KTP.

    KTP for special purposes. Such structures can be used in mines, construction sites, quarries, etc. Their design includes such an element as a skid for movement.

According to the assembly method, stations of this type are divided into mast, ground and built-in. The first type is installed on vertical supports. Ground stations can be assembled in metal, concrete or sandwich housings.

Plants for the production of KTP

The manufacture of KTP substations is carried out at enterprises, the structure of which includes:

    Metalworking shop.

    Assembly shop.

    Low and medium voltage workshop. There is a section for tire processing, electrical installation, adjustment and testing.

The main elements of the KTP design

The KTP substation is assembled in production using the following main elements:

    high voltage input devices;

    distribution cabinet for voltage outlet.

The substation housing, depending on the purpose and performance group, can be made of metal, concrete or sandwich blocks.

Modern transformer substations KTP: production

The manufacture of this type of equipment includes several main stages. The assembly of the most popular PTS in a steel case begins in the metalworking shop. For their manufacture, the highest quality material is used. Body parts are usually made on special machines by bending and stamping. The blanks obtained in this way are first treated with special anti-corrosion compounds. Then they are dyed. In this case, powder agents are usually used. Such dyes are the most resistant to negative factors. environment.

The production of KTP substations continues in the assembly shop. Here, by riveting, all blanks are connected into a finished body. Finally, all elements of the latter are assembled in the medium and low voltage workshop. Here, at the tire processing site, elements of the tire system are manufactured using a special technology. Further, all the necessary communication equipment is installed in the case. This operation is carried out at the electrical installation site. Then the assembly of all automation and relay protection is carried out.

At the final stage, the already finished station enters the setup area. Here it is checked for operability and compliance with the standards stipulated by GOST.

Manufacture of stations in a concrete shell

Complete transformer substations KTP of this type are manufactured using a different technology. In this case, special molding installations are used at the first stage. They are necessary for pouring the concrete shell of the substation. In the manufacture of the latter, frame reinforcement of the appropriate design is used. A hardened concrete block with technological holes is treated with special means that increase its resistance to adverse environmental factors. The cable floor of the resulting building is waterproofed.

Electrical equipment inside the unit is installed in the same shop. It comes from a section of low and medium voltage. After its installation, as in the first case, the equipment is tested and adjusted.

PTS installation

The installation of stations of this type is usually carried out by specialists from the same enterprise where they were manufactured. The site is carefully prepared before installation. Next, markings are made for the base of the station - the foundation or supporting channels. A small KTP substation can be delivered to the installation site already assembled. large equipment of this type are brought in parts - in blocks. They are assembled at the place of installation.

After the foundation is erected, the installation of the station itself begins. Cabinets are lifted using a truck crane. In the absence of such equipment, special rollers made of thick steel pipes are used. To lift switchgears, inverter slings are used, fixed at the ends of the supporting channels.

After the KTP substation is installed on the base, proceed to connect the electrical equipment. This stage consists of such operations as connecting the transformer leads to the switchgear, assembling air and cable lines etc.

After the completion of these works, the reliability of all mechanical interlocks, devices and instruments is checked without fail. The insulation is also carefully inspected for possible damage.

Installation of complete transformer substations KTP from several blocks

In this case, the installation is carried out approximately according to the same method. However, when mounting PTS, consisting of several main parts, among other things, the assembly order of the blocks should be observed. The first set the extreme. Next, the blocks are mounted one by one. Before lifting, the plugs are removed from each of them, covering the ends of the tires that go out. After installing the blocks, the tires are welded to the supporting channels.

Network connection features

The KTP substation can have a radial or main power circuit. In the first case, when connected according to the block-line-transformer principle, it is allowed to use a blind connection with a TM. If the power supply circuit at the station is main, a UVN cabinet is preliminarily installed. With a transformer power of 1000-1200 kW, 2-3 KTPs are usually connected to one line. If this indicator is less, 3-4 stations are used.

Rules to follow

The installation of the KTP substation must be carried out with the obligatory observance of the following standards:

    The station can be installed at an altitude of not more than 1000 m above sea level.

    The ambient temperature must comply with the regulations for this particular model. This parameter is indicated in the instructions (usually from -40 to +40 gr.).

    There should not be any explosive or chemically active substances in the immediate vicinity of the station.

    The installed equipment must not be subjected to shock, shock or vibration.

Operation features

The main equipment that requires periodic maintenance in the substation is the equipment and the power transformer itself. During the operation of the KTP, the following standards should be observed:

    The load current should not exceed the indicators specified in the instructions. In a station with two transformers, for example, it should not be higher than 80% of the nominal value.

    It is necessary to periodically check the normal circulation of oil through the filter. The check is carried out according to the degree of heating of the upper part of the casing.

    oxide film and sludge contact system should be removed at least once a year.

If everything is observed during the manufacture, installation and maintenance of the substation, it will subsequently work smoothly and for a long time. Otherwise, have management company or manufacturing enterprise There are bound to be some problems. Therefore, a PTS manufacturer should be chosen carefully, focusing primarily on the reputation of companies offering such services.

KTP are complete transformer substations that are used to convert the current of a high-voltage network. Now you know how the abbreviation KTP stands for, let's take a closer look at what it is.

Typically, such transformer substations are metal constructions, are equipped with a transformer with a power of at least 25 kilowatts and not more than 4000. In order for the transformer substation to work, a grounded neutral is required. They can be used almost everywhere - from small industrial facilities to small towns, as well as agricultural facilities.

Purpose of transformer substations

At the very beginning, the PTS processes high voltage current, after that it distributes electrical energy with a frequency of about 6 kilowatts on the high voltage side and on the low voltage side with a frequency of about 0.4 kilowatts. With the help of the outgoing line, the supply of electricity to the consumer is transformed.

KTPNU in modular design

With modular design, there is just one transformer. This type of substation is necessary in order to install them outdoors. They are made from several modules. Floors and walls are sheathed with special material. Modules are compartments that house high voltage, low voltage and station control equipment.

Block complete transformer substations (BKTP) are used for receiving, converting and distributing electrical energy of three-phase alternating current of industrial frequency and are intended for use in power supply systems of urban housing and communal, public and industrial facilities, as well as individual development zones and cottage settlements

Serial BKTP equipment.

High voltage switchgear (RU-VN).

Small switchgear type RM -6 with SF6 insulation (manufactured by EZOIS under license Schneider Electric).

At the request of the customer, gas-insulated monoblocks of other types (manufactured by ABB, Siemens ). It is also possible to perform RU-VN on the basis of KSO cells Russian manufacturers. The possibility of using cells of the intended type must be agreed with EZOIS. Available own production equipment 6-10 kVA.

Power transformer.

BKTP of standard execution are completed with power transformers ( 25; 40; 63; 100; 160; 250; 400; 630; 1000; 1250; 1600) with oil-cooled hermetic type (TMG) of various manufacturers. At the request of the customer, cast resin transformers of various types and manufacturers can also be used.

Low voltage switchgear (RU-NN).

BKTP are performed using 0.4 kV switchgears of various designs (racks, panels, cabinets) with switching and protective devices of various types (load breakers, fuses, circuit breakers) and different manufacturers. We have our own production of 0.4 kVA equipment.

System of automatic switch on of a reserve (ATS).

To ensure the required degree of reliability of power supply to consumers, PTS manufactured by the plant can be equipped with devices for automatically switching on backup power.

ATS in standard PTS can be carried out on the HV side (AVR-VN) or on the LV side (AVR-NN). In both variants, the ATS scheme operates in the following emergency situations:

· violation of the phase sequence;

· voltage failure on one, two or three phases (decrease below the permissible level (0.7 * Unom) on any of the phases or on all three).

Scheme with AVR-VN is implemented by equipping the drives of switching devices RU-VN with motor-reducers and contacts for signaling the position of the devices. The switching is controlled by the automation cabinet, which controls the presence of voltage on the LV side.

Scheme with AVR-NN implemented either on contactors or circuit breakers with motor drive. The AVR-NN device is a set of two identical panels (cabinets), each of which is installed in the room of the corresponding section (beam of the circuit) of the PTS. AVR-NN can be built into RU-NN when circuit breakers are used as input and section devices.

Reactive power compensation devices (UKRM).

Depending on the design parameters of the low voltage distribution network operation mode, PTS can be equipped with reactive power compensation devices.

UKRM can be either of the type specified by the project, or selected according to the calculated parameters (power, number of control steps). Structurally, the UKRM can be made as a separate device or be built into the RU-NN.

If there is a UKRM in the substation, the layout of the KTP equipment may differ from the standard one and is developed individually.

Auxiliary system (lighting, heating, equipment heating).

Auxiliary system (SN) provides power for lighting and space heating, ventilation systems, forced heat removal (if any), equipment heating. The auxiliary circuit provides manual or automatic power backup in the presence of two sources (in two-transformer package transformer substations). With different balance sheet belongings of the premises (power supply company and subscriber), the circuit allows for independent switching on of the power of its parts.

Lighting system substations includes equipment for working and emergency lighting (lamps, batteries, automation devices) of the unit, as well as equipment for lighting the pit (in the standard version - sockets for connecting a portable lamp).

Heating KTP blocks are carried out due to the heat generated by the power transformer. For the northern version (or at the request of the customer), electric heaters with a control device (regulator with an air temperature sensor) are installed in the RU-NN and RU-VN rooms. Anti-condensate heating of equipment (compartments of RZiA RU-VN, motor-reducers of drives of switching devices) is provided regardless of the regional version of the transformer substation.

Measurements and accounting of the electric power.

Measurement electrical quantities (current and voltage) in serial KTP are carried out on the low voltage side, at the input to RU-NN. Measuring devices are located in the auxiliary power supply cabinet (YaSN or ShPSN). It is also possible to place measuring devices in RU-NN. At the request of the customer, measuring instruments of various types can be used.

Electricity metering also carried out on the low voltage side. If necessary, electricity accounting can be performed both at the input and at the outgoing RU-NN lines. In addition, RU-NN can be manufactured with preparation for electricity metering on outgoing lines (with wiring for metering circuits, but without installation of current transformers).

Alarm systems.
