Device for automatic welding. Devices for welding profile pipes. Equipment for fastening and moving automatic and semi-automatic welding machines

Experienced craftsmen and ordinary people who perform welding work know that the preparatory stage does not take more time than the welding process itself.

A significant part of the time is spent on the assembly of the welding structure and the installation of all elements in the desired location.

Knowing how important fixtures are for welding profile pipes, and knowing how to use them correctly, a welder can complete the tasks assigned to him quickly and efficiently.

In everyday life, a large number of mechanisms and structures for pipe welding are used. These assistive devices are most often manual and versatile.

They help to quickly assemble the structure with securely fastened parts, and also allow you to do the job with little or no deformation.

Assembly and welding fixtures of profile pipes and their types

They are divided into the following types:

  • Mounting.
  • Installation.

Installation mechanisms

Masters call them the most important in importance, and they say that it is almost impossible to do without them.

The clamp can be of different shapes and sizes. The mouth of the device can be of a stable volume, and it happens with the possibility of regulation.

Quick-clamping devices, in which the cam mechanism performs the clamping function, are particularly convenient.

Clamps. If we compare these mechanisms with clamps, then they are more convenient, and in more adapted to this type of work. The required gap size is set with a screw in the clamping handle and by moving the pin.

Clamps. Is the most common. They are: wedge, screw, spring, lever.

The simplest kind such a device is the most common bolt and nut that fastens two plates that clamp the workpiece.

Ties. They are used to bring together elements that have overall dimensions. The length and method of such a construction depends on the tasks that it must perform.

Spacer . This mechanism makes it possible to align the edges of the assembled workpieces, give them the desired shape and correct small defects.

Fixtures for installation and fastening

The most user-friendly designs that perform several functions. When working, you only need to insert the parts and tighten the eccentrics and screws. All parts without additional effort fall into place.

Such work as welding profile pipes, most of us have to do very often. Therefore, a large number of different devices have been developed for this process.

Centralizers. Thanks to them, the coaxiality of the parts to be welded is maintained, as well as the alignment of the edges at the ends. They are divided into internal and external.

External mechanisms are used much more often. This mechanism consists of several links, fastened in a hinged way. Between themselves they create a closed loop.

In addition, the alignment of the workpieces is well provided by self-made structures, which are made from a corner and clamps welded onto it.

Mechanisms with magnets

These devices for welding work are widely used and come in a variety of shapes. They connect sheet blanks, frame-type structures, and so on in the desired location.

Such devices are used not only in the form of a square, but also of a different type. The strength of the magnet in them allows you to firmly install a part of the profile structure in the required location, and during the welding process, the parts remain stationary.

Do-it-yourself welding fixtures: clamp

Do-it-yourself welding fixtures are not difficult to make. Many craftsmen prefer do-it-yourself devices for work, as store options are not reliable enough.

Need to prepare:

  1. Sheet of steel with a thickness of 9 to 11 mm.
  2. Three nuts.
  3. Washer. It needs a larger diameter.
  4. A tubular blank with an external thread corresponding to the thread on the nut.

DIY manufacturing process

Three strips with a width of 4 cm and a length of 50 cm, 25 cm and 10 cm are cut out of a steel sheet. Then two more rectangular plates are prepared to fasten the movable element and to provide a stop in the static part of the device.

After that, an auxiliary is welded to the base of the clamp. All this together creates an L-shape. A second rectangular sheet is welded to the smaller side of the structure. Washers are also welded together.

The nuts are laid “on edge” to the moving part, in such a way that the unscrewed rod is parallel to the base of the clamp.

Welding is performed on the outer side of the first rectangular sheet. A movable device is attached to its inner edges. At the end, washers are welded to the edge of the rod, they are placed flat.

The resulting structure allows you to keep overall structures of pipe products, and this does not occur shifts.

Homemade magnetic device

It is necessary to prepare:

  • A square metal sheet plate with a side dimension of 25 cm.
  • Pipe with a square section.
  • Three bolts and three small nuts.
  • Steel cylinder with a diameter of 4.5 mm.
  • Apparatus for welding, drill, drill.

Two pipes of 15 and 20 cm are welded on different sides of the metal sheet plate. Then two auxiliary parts are made.

The first U-shaped (from blanks of 10 cm). The second is an isosceles trapezoid. Base at 11.5 and 5.4 cm, and sides 10 cm.

Assemble fixtures with permanent magnets in a strict sequence of fastening elements. Such devices perfectly cope with the tasks assigned to them.

Devices for welding profile pipes are indispensable in welding. They greatly facilitate the entire welding process.

Welding itself sometimes requires much less time and effort than preparing for it. The main share of the latter is the assembly of a welded structure with the fixation of all elements in the desired position. This work requires special attention, since the quality of the finished product depends on it.

It is annoying when, after careful alignment and installation of the elements in the right position, the structure assembled with such diligence falls apart at the touch of the electrode, and you need to assemble everything all over again. It is even worse when the element is welded, but not in the position required - it has imperceptibly moved or deformed after the metal has cooled. The use of universal and specialized welding fixtures helps to save time and get a quality product at the end.

There are many different devices and mechanisms designed for welding. In industry dealing with serial and mass production, specialized mechanized and automated equipment is used - transport devices, mechanisms for laying and tilting products, technological assembly devices, etc. At home, as a rule, manual welding devices are used universal action, allowing for quick assembly of the structure, securely fixing all the elements in the desired position and achieving minimal deformation of the part.

The main types of assembly and welding fixtures

All assembly and welding fixtures can be divided into two main types - installation and fixing. Mechanisms that combine both of these functions are especially convenient.

Installation aids. Positioning fixtures are designed to place the part in the correct position - exactly where it will be in the finished product. By function and design, they are divided into stops, squares, prisms, templates.

The stops serve to fix parts on the base surfaces and can be permanent, removable or folding (retractable, rotary). Permanent stops, which are most often ordinary plates or bars, are welded or screwed to the base. Removable or folding stops are placed when their permanent presence in the part is structurally unacceptable.

Squares are used to install parts at a certain (90°, 60°, 30°, 45°) angle to each other. Easy to use squares, the edges of which are made swivel and allow you to set any desired angle between them.

Prisms are used to fix cylindrical products in a certain position. As a prism, the simplest design welded from corners can be successfully used. Templates are designed to install elements of a welded structure in a given position in relation to other previously installed parts.

Fasteners. With the help of fixing welding devices, the parts, after being placed in the desired position, are firmly fixed in order to prevent their accidental shift or deformation after cooling. Fixing devices include clamps, clamps, clamps, ties, spacers.

Clamp- the universal tool used practically at any work with metal. For a welder, it is the first most important device, which, if possible, can be dispensed with only at the cost of extreme inconvenience and to the detriment of productivity. Clamps for welding can have a variety of shapes and sizes, be with a constant size of the throat and adjustable. Especially convenient are quick-clamping clamps, in which the clamping occurs using a cam mechanism. In general, it is desirable for a welder to have a set of various clamps, since several of them may be needed to assemble one structure - of various sizes and configurations.

Clamps for welding differ from clamps in ease of use and greater adaptability to welding work. Fixing the part is done by compressing their handles. The required gap size is set using the screw in the clamp handle, by moving the pin to another hole, or in another way.

Clamps According to the principle of operation, they are divided into screw, wedge, eccentric, spring, lever. Of all clamping devices, screw clamps are the most common. The simplest type of homemade screw clamp is an ordinary bolt with a nut threaded through the holes of two plates, with which the parts placed between them are clamped.

In wedge clamps, parts are clamped using wedges, lugs, washers and a hammer.

Clamping brackets are a piece of sheet with a wedge-shaped groove.

The spring clip presses the part due to the presence of elastic deformation. It is made from a strip of sheet material or wire made of spring steels.

In eccentric clamps, the workpiece is clamped using a cam (1) mounted on a lever (2) when the eccentric (3) is turned by the handle (4). These devices are convenient in that the clamping is done in one movement, however, their disadvantages include a relatively small working stroke of the cam, which is why they are used much less often than screw clamps.

Screeds are used to bring together the edges of the welded overall parts to a predetermined distance. Their length and method of fastening to the structure can be very different, depending on the task they face.

Spacers allow you to align the edges of the assembled parts, give the parts the desired shape, correct local defects.

Many of the above welding fixtures are easy to make yourself, giving them the sizes and shapes that correspond to the most commonly performed work.

Mounting fixtures

The most convenient to use devices for welding, which perform the complex function of placing the part in the desired position and fixing it. In this case, you do not need to worry about correctly aligning the parts, just insert them into the fixture and tighten the screws or eccentrics. The figure below shows three such devices for assembling elements at an angle of 90 °, allowing you to quickly and easily expose and fasten the parts to be welded in one and two planes. To ensure the removal of the structure from the fixture after welding, one of the clamps at the fixture for bulk assembly (top right) is made rotatable.

A simple device for fixing parts at a right angle is easy to do with your own hands. This will require two segments of the corner, a segment of the strip, two clamps, a square and a welding machine.

The corners cut to the desired length and the strip (dimensions can be seen in the photo, inch scale) are fixed with clamps using a square.

After fixing and checking the correct position of the corners, the corners are attached to the strip at four points. If you immediately make a long seam or the points are too large, then the design will lead.

Next, the clamps and square are removed so as not to damage them during subsequent welding, and the corners are welded with a more reliable seam, alternating short seams from different sides so that the structure does not lead. Then the clamps are pressed and welded at several points. Although the clamps can not be welded.

Pipe Welding Tools

Welding pipe ends is a frequently performed operation - both in production and at home. Many devices for pipe welding have been developed to facilitate this work and ensure its proper quality. Centralizers (as these devices are called) ensure the alignment of the welded pipes and the alignment of their end edges. By design, they are external and internal, the former are used much more often.

The photo below shows a link centralizer used for welding large diameter pipes. It consists of several links hinged to each other and forming a closed loop. The pipe ends to be welded, placed inside the device, rest on stops that center them relative to each other.

In the home workshop, clamp clamps designed for welding smaller diameter pipes will be more useful. For example, the centralizer-clamp model CM151 (in the figure below on the left) is designed for pipes with a diameter of 57-159 mm, and the centralizer-clamp model TsS3 (right) is designed for pipes with a diameter of 10 to 70 mm.

In general, ensuring the alignment of small diameter pipes is not such a difficult task. It is quite possible to do without buying a specialized tool, using a simple home-made pipe welding device, consisting of corners and clamps welded to them.

Or like this:

Corners do not have to be welded to the clamp (for example, if there is only one clamp), you can simply grind off the corner at the corners at the clamp stop.

Accessories with magnets

Very convenient assembly and welding devices are magnetic devices for welding, connecting and holding parts in a certain position by the attractive force of the magnets built into them.

Magnetic elbows. Devices of this type are very widespread. A large number of all kinds of magnetic squares are produced, differing in shape, the presence or absence of additional fasteners and the possibility or impossibility of changing the angle. With their help, it is very convenient to connect sheet parts, frame structures, racks, etc. at the right angle.

Universal magnetic devices. In addition to squares, there are other magnetic devices that have much greater functionality and versatility. How convenient and easy it is to work with them, you can understand by getting to know the device called MagTab (Strong Hand Tools).

The device consists of two supporting planes (1) with built-in magnets. The angle between them can vary depending on the shape of the base they are to be attached to. It can be a cylindrical surface, a plane or an angle. In addition to the supporting ones, there are two more planes (2) to which the parts are attached, which must be welded to the base. They are located at an angle of 90° to each other and have a degree of freedom in relation to the supporting surface, due to which the parts to be welded can be displaced relative to the base. It is known how much time and effort during welding sometimes requires the installation and fixing of an uncomfortable and unstable part in the right place. Using a device like MagTab (Strong Hand Tools) allows you to quickly and easily weld any part to a base of various shapes. It is enough to install the device on the base and attach the element to be welded in the right place to one of its two mounting surfaces. The strength of the magnet ensures sufficient fastening strength of the part and its immobility during welding.

There are easier options:

Devices for assembly and welding of magnetic action are very convenient. They allow several times to reduce the time for assembling structures and ensure their proper quality. Simple, easy to use and relatively inexpensive, they deserve to be in the home workshop along with clamps and clamps. Having obtained permanent magnets or making an electromagnet, you can make such devices yourself. It is only important to remember that under the influence high temperatures(some magnets - under the influence of not very high temperatures) permanent magnets are demagnetized.

gas lenses

In argon-arc welding, the quality of protection is greatly influenced by the rate of gas outflow from the burner and the shape of the products to be welded. Too much high speed gas outflow affects the quality of protection just as badly as too little - due to air leakage into the nozzle and turbulence of the gas flow.

To remove turbulence and make the argon flow laminar (linear), gas lenses are used - collet clamp bodies of a special design (with a fine mesh inside), which ensure the gas flow is laminar. The gas lens is installed in place of the standard collet. Along with it, the burner nozzle also changes, since the lens has an enlarged size.

The use of gas lenses is recognized as appropriate in cases where it is required to provide better gas protection due to special material properties (for example, in the case of titanium) or the configuration of the workpieces to be welded. Their use also allows the electrode to be pulled out more than usual, which is sometimes necessary.

However, gas lenses also have disadvantages. In particular, their application requires a higher gas flow. The increased size of the nozzle somewhat impairs the view of the welding zone.

Devices for secondary protection in argon arc welding

When welding titanium, protection is required not only of the molten metal zone itself, but also of the areas adjacent to it. This is due to the fact that titanium at temperatures above 400°C begins to actively react with gases contained in the air, resulting in increased brittleness and reduced strength. To prevent this, the so-called. secondary protection, the purpose of which is to exclude contact with air of those metal zones that can have temperatures above 400 ° C.

As the main device for secondary protection, a metal casing ("boot") is used, which is attached to the burner nozzle and provides gas supply to the weld area. In order for the "boot" to fulfill its purpose qualitatively, its shape must correspond to the configuration of the product to be welded and the parameters of the burner. It is often made independently or ordered for a specific burner and job. For a uniform supply of gas to the protected surface, the device can be filled with some kind of porous filler, in particular, aluminum shavings.

In the form of modifications of devices for welding, providing secondary protection, flexible aprons are also used, which play the same role as the "boot", but unlike the latter, they have the flexibility that allows them to bend around cylindrical structures. Such devices are sometimes made of copper foil of sufficient thickness.

Welding tools are an indispensable help. For the work to be successful, it is necessary to apply several auxiliary operations. As a rule, a welder spends 35% of the time using all kinds of welding devices.

In the construction process, universal devices are widely used.

One of them is a clamp, which is designed for assembling elements with your own hands. The tool consists of two sponges: supporting and clamping, they are interconnected by means of teeth. The clamping jaw also has a special screw, rectangular teeth located on it provide indispensable assistance. Thus, it is possible to adjust the distance and carefully fix the parts. In this case, the worker saves his own time.

Welding fixtures: main varieties

For convenience, there is a screw in the support jaw. It serves to secure the welding wire. Innings electric current is directed directly to the parts to be welded. This greatly facilitates the quality of welding. What is an assembly fixture? What is it for? This tool allows you to install workpieces directly during welding, workpieces are produced at an angle of 90 degrees. The body of the tool has a special selection, which forms two walls at an angle of 90 degrees, a screw with a clamp is located in the protrusion.

The workpieces must be inserted into the grooves and secured by turning the screw. The gap between the walls makes it possible to weld where the joint of the parts themselves is located. One fixture can quickly connect different parts, such as L-shaped and T-shaped. It is important that they are not too big. With the help of two welding devices, it is possible to fasten the same parts, but with a larger mass. In this case, you can weld U-shaped parts and those that have a rectangular shape. This device is very practical and easy to use.

assembly device

The adjustable assembly jig is more versatile than the others. In the case of it, it is possible to assemble the parts to be welded at different angles. Two clamps are pivotally connected by means of an axle and a nut; on one clamp there is a dial with an angular scale. Clamps have clamping screws. To adjust the fixture, it is necessary to turn the clamps along the limb to the rear corner and fix them with a nut. The blanks must be inserted into the grooves and clamped with screws.

If such devices are used in the welding process, you can improve the quality of work, and the number of auxiliary welders will also be reduced. Thanks to the universal assembly device, the structure is assembled in different elements, they can be fixed in a position convenient for you. Devices for welding can be made in the form of a hinged bracket, which includes three nodes: a clamp, a hinge and a fork. These elements are connected using a special rod. The clamp is made of a pipe, strips and nuts, the strip has a thread and a bolt.

What is the hinge for?

A hinge is two pieces of pipe that are welded at an angle of 90 degrees. The hinge is put on the rod and fixed with a special bolt, while a fork should be mounted in the pipe. The bar contains a thread and a corresponding bolt. It is necessary to assemble the elements to be welded. For this, the device is attached to the table or to the structure to be welded, a bolt is used in the process.

It is required to install the object to be welded in the fork. It is necessary that it be installed at the right angle, then you need to fix the hinge on the rod and the fork in the hinge itself. All this is done with bolts. Next, you can begin the process of welding pipes. The main advantage of the method is that the operations can be performed by the same worker. The universal device can be used in combination with the others listed above.

Stand for welding panels: purpose

It is important to know what the coupler is for. In order to carry out welding, in frequent cases it is necessary to resort to lengthening the wire. For this, extension is used. It is done using soldering, twisting wires and bolts, the process takes a lot of time. In this case, connections are obtained that are not always reliable. The sleeve helps to save time and increase the efficiency of splicing wires.

The device has fairly simple, unified components. It must be assembled from six parts: this is a sleeve, a current conductor, a hairpin through which current is conducted, and others. If the wires need to be connected, the lugs are screwed together and the ends of the wires are installed in them. Tips with wires are screwed onto the main sleeve. Couplings are very convenient to use, thanks to their use, you can save a lot of time and quickly complete the welding process.

Welding tools are indispensable in work. Welding itself takes much less time and effort than preparing for this work. The main share in the preparation is the assembly of the device for welding with the fastening of all components in the required position. This process requires Special attention, because the quality of the finished product will depend on it.

There are various equipment and great amount a variety of devices that are designed for welding. For domestic purposes, mechanical devices for welding are suitable, which allow you to quickly assemble the tool, fix all components well in the required position and obtain minimal deformation of the part.

What are the fixtures?

Welding fixtures can be the following:

  1. Clamp. It is a tool that will come in handy for any work with metal. It can have a variety of shapes and sizes.
  2. Clips for welding. They are easier to use than clamps. The element is fixed by compressing the clamp handles.
  3. Magnetic corners. They have different shapes, different fasteners, it is possible to change the angle. With their help, it is possible to connect sheets and frames at the required angle without much effort.
  4. Welding stands. This is a fixture that has 1 fixed main surface with fasteners. They are needed for welding longitudinal fusion seams on flat products.
  5. Tilters. They are static devices that make it possible to fix the element to be welded and rotate it to the required position in order to perform welding. They are often used for welding large elements that have different shapes and seams on different sides.
  6. Manipulators. These are devices that are necessary to rotate the element about the axis and tilt it at the required angle. They are used for all types of welding, and also for contact. Elements of various forms are attached to them.
  7. Stops. With their help, parts are fastened to the main surfaces. The stops are permanent, removable and folding. Permanent ones are in the form of plates that are welded to the base. Folding and removable are used when they are unacceptable in the finished product.
  8. Clamps. These devices can be wedge, screw, spring, eccentric, lever. Screw clamps are the most famous. Such a clamp is a bolt with a nut, which is threaded into 2 plates. Thanks to them, you can clamp the elements. The clamping one looks like a sheet with a wedge-shaped groove. Eccentric clamps are needed to clamp the element with a cam that is mounted on the lever.
  9. Ties. They are used when welding large items. Ties bring together the edges of the elements to the required distance.
  10. Struts. Thanks to the spacers, you can align the elements, give them the desired shape, and correct defects.

How to make a clamp?

The clamp is a fixing device. To build it, you will need the following materials:

  • steel sheet 1 cm thick;
  • 3 nuts;
  • a number of washers with a large diameter;
  • a pipe having a thread on the outside to fit the size of the nuts.

To make a fixture with your own hands, first a strip is cut out of a sheet of steel. Its length should be 500 mm, width 40 mm. Next, cut out 2 strips. You will also need a movable bar 100 mm, 2 rectangles of 50 mm each to strengthen the movable elements, a small piece to provide support on the main part of the clamp.

An additional part is welded to this part, making the letter G between them. A part for support must be welded onto the short part. 3 nuts are connected together, washers too. Nuts are placed with an edge to the moving part, they are welded. A wooden handle can be attached to the rod, which is fixed at the top with a nut.

All elements are welded on the outside of the parts. A strip of clamp is inserted between them. When the welding of the elements is completed, a movable bar is attached to them. Large washers are welded flat on the end of the metal rod.

Manufacture of fixtures for welding at an angle of 90 °

Manual arc welding: 1-electrode; 2-electrode coating; 3-gas protection.

Welding magnets, which hold the pipes to be joined at right angles, are needed to simplify welding. You will need the following materials:

  • a sheet of metal of a square shape, the sides of which are 20-25 cm;
  • a pipe with a square section;
  • 3 nuts and 3 bolts;
  • bolt (diameter 4 cm) and nut 3.5 cm;
  • steel cylinder with a diameter of 5 mm;
  • drill, drill.

You need to weld 2 pieces of pipe with a length of 200 and 150 mm to a square of metal with your own hands. Then 2 additional parts are made from these pipes. The first is U-shaped from 100 mm segments. The second is a trapezoid with dimensions of 11.5 and 5.4 cm.

Clamps with magnets must be assembled by connecting the components in series.

They will be good welded magnets.

Now you have become aware of the devices for welding and their device. We wish you good luck in your welding work and in the correct use of the necessary tools in order to make various connections, be it angled or branded.

You can get a high-quality welded joint by using special devices for welding. Experienced welders are well aware of the importance of correctly and securely fixing the parts to be joined. With a wide range, it is difficult to choose a design option that will provide reliable fixation. That is why it is recommended to pay attention to the classification and features of all mechanisms.

Assembly and welding fixtures of profile pipes and their types

Common welding fixtures are created in order to provide the most favorable working conditions, thereby increasing the quality of the resulting seam. All of them are divided into several types:

  1. Installation.
  2. Mounting.

Similar mechanisms for installing and fastening profile pipes can be made from the most various materials. It is recommended to pay more attention to the choice of welding fixtures, as they largely determine the quality of the result.

Installation mechanisms

Special welding fixtures are required in order to set the correct location in space for the elements to be welded. The most widespread are:

  1. corners.
  2. Stops.
  3. Prisms.
  4. Templates.

Thrust devices are designed to fix the workpiece on the main surface. Most of them are used all the time weld provides only a high degree of sealing. In addition, there are also folding versions that can be dismantled if necessary.

To create universal welding fixtures, you may need:

  1. Nuts that are designed for the possible load.
  2. Sheets of metal about 10 mm thick.
  3. Large diameter washer.
  4. A tube-rolled blank with an external thread that fits the matched nut.

It should be borne in mind that when using ordinary metal, corrosion will appear on the surface over time. That is why it is necessary to provide for the features of the coating process of steel with a special anti-corrosion composition.

DIY manufacturing process

You can create the required design using improvised tools. Among the features of the work carried out, we note the following points:

  1. Rectangles 4 cm wide of various lengths are cut from the purchased sheets. After that, two rectangular plates are prepared. The first elements are used to create the main body part, the others to fix the moving part. The metal is pre-cleaned of rust and other contaminants.
  2. A special auxiliary element is welded to the main clamp, made of metal plates and corners.
  3. Another sheet of steel is welded to the smaller side. Washers of the selected diameter are welded into one blank.
  4. Nuts must be laid on edge. Due to this, the movable rod is parallel to the clamp.

The weld must be on the outside. This design allows you to fix the connected elements and ensure their immobility during welding.

Home-made devices for welding are practically in no way inferior to purchased versions. Before proceeding with the assembly of the clamping or locking mechanism, it is necessary to take into account how it will be used and what properties it should have.

Homemade magnetic device

Increasingly, at home, a device for pipe welding is being assembled, which works on magnets. The manufacturing process is characterized by the following features:

  1. The main material is a plate with a length of 25 cm on each side.
  2. You will need pipes with a cross section in the form of a square, the ribs of which provide higher rigidity.
  3. The design features of the mechanism include the presence of three small bolts and nuts.
  4. Steel cylinder with a diameter of 4.5 mm.

Assembly can be carried out in the presence of a welding machine and a drill with interchangeable drill bits for metal. The structure is created as follows:

  1. On both sides of the square plate, pipes are welded, the length of which is 15 and 20 cm.
  2. The next step involves the creation of two auxiliary parts: one U-shaped, the second has the shape of a trapezoid with the same sides.

Such performance options are extremely common due to versatility, home-made mechanisms are designed for high loads.

Universal versions of fixators with magnets are very convenient to use. That is why they are widely used, used by masters of various levels.

The classic device is characterized by the following features:

  1. The mechanism is represented by a combination of two plates that have built-in magnets. They take the main load, are designed for the impact of a wide variety of pressures.
  2. The position of the two planes can be changed to adjust the angle, which is selected according to the shape of the connected products.
  3. The design also has two additional planes, which significantly increase the accuracy of mating two surfaces relative to each other.

Due to the use of a universal mechanism, several products can be welded together accurately and quickly. The strength of a permanent or electric magnet can be high enough to provide the required reliability of fixation.

Types of assembly and welding fixtures

Considering devices for welding, it should be borne in mind that they are divided into several different categories. The most widely used mechanical clamps and clamps, as they are easy to use and can last for a long period.

If you need to fix large and heavy workpieces, then designs with a pneumatic or electric drive can be used. Due to the use of a special drive, the applied force is significantly increased.

The classification of all devices is also carried out according to the conditions in which they can be operated. Examples include industrial and domestic applications.

In addition, the following groups of auxiliary devices for welding are distinguished:

  1. Combined.
  2. For installation.
  3. For assembly.
  4. Prefix.

In conclusion, we note that the safety of welding also determines the need for reliable fixation of the connected elements. This is due to the fact that it is forbidden to keep the weight of the workpiece. Also, they should not be in an unstable position, as the likelihood of injury or a decrease in the quality of the resulting seam increases.
