There are other reasons for delays, such as transit routes for flights, which imply the presence of one or more waypoints during the flight. In each of them there will be delays in unloading / loading parcels.

It is believed that the export takes 1-2 weeks, but it happens that the procedure takes up to 2 months. Detained by customs

Real people work at customs, not robots, so they carefully look at the information about the goods being sent. There may be more than one sorting center along the route. After the IGO is registered at the regional sorting center, you can already calmly wait for the parcel for 1-2 days. And it is not necessary to wait for a notification in the mailbox. By presenting documents and a tracking number at the post office, you can ask to check whether the shipment has arrived. In any case, there are slight delays on tracking sites, due, among other things, to the fact that local postal operators can delay the registration of newly arrived mail to the branch.

Sometimes parcels are sent to the sorting centers “in the wrong direction”. Another option is that the Aliexpress seller confuses something when writing the recipient's address. After passing the border, your parcel will be assigned a new track number, with which it will go further. You, like tracking systems, will not be able to recognize it. Therefore, it remains only to patiently wait for a notification that the parcel has arrived at your post office.

4. The package is under import.

Basically, the process of importing a package is the longest stage. On average, it can take two weeks. But there are especially slow sorting points with old equipment or high load, in which parcels hang for a month or even more.

You can not influence the speed of crossing the border in any way. Since it is not known in which country it may be located. If the parcel does not receive the status of "import" for more than three months, the sender must submit a search request to the post office. The actual shipment to the country of destination does not mean at all that the shipment will soon complete its journey, that is, the export of international mail itself does not indicate this. No one knows how long the departure route lasts at this stage.

This happens because the routes are laid differently every time, a lot depends on the flights, as well as on the formation of the optimal weight. With the status "export (content check)", you can be sure that the package is not moving anywhere yet. As soon as the customs check is completed, the parcel will move towards the country of destination. The status "export (packing)" will mean that the parcel has been successfully examined, it is packed, labeled and ready to be sent to Russia.

With the "transportation" status, everything seems to be clear: the postal item is moving from the sorting center. Most likely in another sorting center, but already towards the recipient. The same means the status "in transit". Sometimes, as the shipment is tracked, a notification will appear that customs has completed clearance, which will mean that now postal services continue to export international mail. Malaysia (MYKULB - international code), for example, allows you to track your parcels using your own help center, but this does not add speed to parcels.

Customs in most IMPOs works around the clock, because this is the only way to check this colossal volume of incoming and outgoing mail from abroad. In addition to customs officers, postal operators also work there - two people per customs officer.

Further, different statuses may appear in turn, which speak for themselves: "arrived at the terminal" (probably intermediate, where the parcel will be unloaded again, loaded, processed, labeled and sent further), "arrived at the warehouse" (where it will be unloaded again, loaded and and so on - see above), "located in the small packet processing center" (again, everything is the same as before, but at the end a further route is selected here). One of these intermediate statuses, which makes one feel sad, is "arrival in a transit country". This is a very troublesome business - to track the export of international mail. China (CNSZXA - international code), for example, very often apologizes to customers for long delays.

Post office

The long-awaited status "arrival at the post office" means that the recipient can already, without even waiting for the postman with a notification, go directly to the post office indicated in the status and receive his parcel. Other phrases in this message may also be used. For example: "Export of international mail of Russia. Arrival at the place of delivery." Ideally, the delivery of the notice by the postman should be made on the same day, but more often it happens differently.
