- You were a member of the jury of one of the competitions. Did you make your own decisions or rely on your wife’s opinion?
- My wife, I admit honestly, interfered. But my word was decisive. I consult with my wife at all times. As they say, “as mom said, it’s right for Dad to earn money!”

Many people spoke about courage that evening. But - in a different way.

- In general, I like everything that is extraordinary. I like that the women wore hats. That there are so many flowers. In general, it is in spring that there is so much beauty... This is very correct!
- The word “courage” has been heard here so many times. Do you really have to be a brave woman to wear a hat these days?
“I don’t know what courage has to do with it, you see: everyone is wearing a hat!” Everyone can walk beautifully. Yes, I was offered to take part in the show - but I think there are a lot of women in this room who would have demonstrated Katya Osadchaya’s hats in the same way. And there is nothing extraordinary about this. Of course, you can say this: this is another adventure that you have decided to take.
- Which designer did you buy your hat from?
- It so happened that my daughter and I bought almost identical hats. And in order to be somehow different, I decorated it myself. And I didn’t choose a hat for the show: I put on whatever came to hand. After all, only a few hats were brought for the show. Although somehow it turned out that all the hats, both in style and color, matched the outfits of the “models”. Even a skull hat!
Business lady Alena Romanova deals with real estate. She recently got married, so she came to the party dressed as a bride. Her wedding dress is the creation of English designer Ian Stewart. But the hat is a masterpiece from the craftswomen from the Chernigov store-studio “Makosh”.
- Do you often wear hats?
- Actually, the fashion for hats appeared three years ago, but it came to Chernigov a little later. Therefore, if an opportunity arises to wear something interesting, I, of course, take it!
- In general, are you characterized by boldness in your outfits?
- Necessarily. I try to be original in everything!

- You also took part in the show today. Do you think putting a hat on your head really takes courage?
- Maybe yes. Because we were asked to wear very shocking hats, you saw. For example, I was with a globe. But nevertheless, our group of girls representing the Chernigov Business League found some kind of enthusiasm in themselves - and everything went easily and simply!
I usually don’t wear a hat, but today, apparently, was the start: something changed inside me! I have the most wonderful impressions from the party, especially because the money is directed to good causes. We need to hold events like this more often! You get pleasure for yourself, make a lot of pleasant and useful acquaintances - and take part in good deeds! The principle is simple: if you learn how to earn money for yourself, share it with others. And this goodness will return to you! Because life is a boomerang.

To make a competition outfit sorceresses from the “Svit Kvit” salon it took about 70 orchids, and countless chrysanthemums! You can’t prepare an outfit of fresh flowers in advance: we started work in the morning. Of course, everything was drawn and calculated in advance. They took it and did it!
Alena Ovruchevskaya, director of the Delux wedding complex, I decided to also learn the profession of a designer - this year the girl entered a vocational school of everyday life. To expand your creative capabilities. And when I received an offer to participate in the competition, of course, I agreed!

- There are about 200 beads sewn on this hat. And you won’t believe it - I picked up a needle for the first time; before that I had never done any sewing or embroidery. On the eve of the party I went shopping and looked - I didn’t like anything. I decided: “If you want to do something well, do it yourself!” I made my decision and made it on time. Although half an hour before the rehearsal I was still finishing the hat.
- Did you like this evening?
- Very! This holiday made hundreds of girls happy. Well, and men, respectively!
New hat with a new look
Galina Pashchenko, director of the company "Ave-San", appeared in two guises: an elegant English lady and a perky fashion hooligan, capable of appearing in public... with a sofa on her head!
- Life is given not only to grieve, to fight, to constantly overcome something. But also in order to rejoice! And I don’t remember such a wonderful evening for a long time. Such beautiful women, awesome! It’s not for nothing that they say that beauty will save the world - today I plunged into this beauty, and it seems that this is a different world. I want people to know that there is more than just struggle and work.
- Did they let you choose a hat for the fashion show?
- You know, I was a little late, and when I arrived, I didn’t have much of a choice. I was thinking of choosing something elegant to go with my look. It wasn’t elegant, it was shocking! I looked and the color matches. Why not?!
- Do you have a lot of hats in your wardrobe?
- There isn’t a single one! I bought this silk tablet from the designer especially for a hat party. My pace of life does not allow me to wear hats... I run, fly through life - my hat just falls off!
Liliya Karashchuk, director of the Velurov restaurant, changed three hats during the evening: including wearing something like a top hat at an angle, as part of a collection show. Of the 21 participants in the fashion show, it was Lilia who received such an original headdress - and it turned out that this was exactly what was needed!
- They say that in this hat I look very much like Johnny Depp in the image of the Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. And I think that's exactly how I feel! If necessary, I can be Johnny's understudy! - Lilia laughs.
Well, it looks like the hat party has served its purpose. Good mood, vivid impressions, acquaintances and contacts, pleasure from the program, live communication with the star. And, of course, a good deed done together.

Katya Osadchaya chose the most outrageous hats for the models
Chernigov storks flew to Osadchaya
Won first place in the competition for the best hat among the guests Director of the Calypso store Natalia Shkel. The stork's nest that decorated her head was made by the design studio "Winter-Summer". The nest weighs about five kilograms!
“I really love hats,” said the winner, “although I don’t have to wear them often.” It’s spring now, storks are my favorite birds, and with this image I wanted to emphasize: everything around is blooming, storks are flying to us - life begins! I had one more option: Val and our Chernigov guns. We made two samples - and yet I liked the storks better. The hat was made by a famous designer in Chernigov, head of the Winter-Summer studio Valentina Misnik: her golden hands and my imagination!
Natalia’s festive mood was briefly spoiled by the question of whether the issue with the scandalous “extension” to her store - at 90 Pobedy Avenue - had been resolved. She answered laconically:
- Thank God.

- Nikolai Alexandrovich, they have already said here several times: a woman needs courage to go out in a hat. Does a man need courage to accompany a woman wearing such an unusual hat?
- I don’t suffer from timidity and consider myself a brave person! Storks are truly my wife’s favorite birds; if we notice a nest on the road, she almost asks: “Stop the car, I want to look at them!” But until today I didn’t know what kind of hat my wife would be wearing - to be honest, I only saw it in the car. I was amazed at how much imagination and work there is!
- Were you worried about your wife - would she win the competition?
- I was worried. I understood that there was no more original headdress than hers. But I didn’t know how they would appreciate it...
They rated it as highly as possible - Katya Osadchaya liked Natalia Shkel's hat more than the others. But it turns out that Nikolai Alexandrovich ran out to the center of the hall, where the participants stood, not only to congratulate his wife:
- I offered to donate this hat to the presenter’s collection! - he explains. So this is who Katya Osadchaya should thank for the new accessory!
Natalia Shkel comments:
- She gave it - with all her heart! I hope Katya really liked this hat - which means that we, Chernigov residents, will watch “The World’s Life” and one day we will see Katya Osadchaya in our hat!
Five thousand one hundred... Sold!
Pedagogical University teacher Lyudmila Ivanenko came to the party without a hat - it was replaced by a large flower in her hair. And she returned with a hat “from Katya Osadchaya”, bought for 5100 hryvnia (started from 500) at a charity auction. I practically snatched victory from my competitor, with whom I went step by step.
- Lyudmila, you were so stubborn in the fight at the auction - is it because you love hats? So you wanted to buy this one?
- I like hats, but in my life I practically never wear them. And I bought this hat because I had a noble goal: the opportunity to help children.
- But, it seems, the guests were not warned that there would be an auction... And you parted with such a large sum so easily?
- Yes, it was a spontaneous decision. But you need not only to be able to earn money, but also to spend money with dignity. Help those who need it. And since I am a mother myself, I gladly accepted the opportunity to help the children.
- Did you like the hat?
- Certainly! It’s true that it’s quite extravagant, but I think I’ll show it off sometime on occasion! People in the audience were already asking to put it on, look at it, and touch it.
Small but
The invitation cards clearly stated that a dress code was required: women - a hat and evening dress, men - a suit. The ladies turned out to be more attentive to the requests of the organizers: literally only a few of the several hundred guests showed up dressed “out of shape.” But some of their companions not only came without ties, but apparently didn’t even find suits in their wardrobes. Gentlemen, we need to somehow rectify the situation, this is not the last party!
