Some Kindles have risen to the top thanks to their combination of slick performance, stunning screen, and attractive prices.

Others have gone down the drain as they are hampered by bulky interfaces, high costs, and frustrating screens. Thus, we have compiled a ranking of the best Kindles and e-readers in general, so that you can choose the best device for reading books.

AmazonkindleOasis

The Oasis ranks as the most expensive option in the Kidle range, more expensive than the Kindle Paperwhite and Voyage. Nearly five times the price of a standard Kindle, it costs money... but it's worth it.

The Kindle Voyage was once at the top of this ranking, but it has been surpassed by another Amazon e-reader, the Kindle Oasis.

At the time of release, it essentially offered an improved version of the Kindle Paperwhite, with the same interface and features, but also a better screen with a pixel density of 300 PPI. Now the Paperwhite offers the same screen, so it's hard to justify spending a Kindle Voyage, while the Oasis has a brand new, beautiful design.

It boasts even backlighting, an ambient light sensor, and PagePress buttons that allow you to navigate through books without lifting your finger.

It's also got a slim silhouette at 7.6mm, making it the most forward looking Kindle of all. It should also be noted that all these strengths are subject to a high price, the average price tag of an e-book in Russia is 12,000 rubles. Like other Kindles, Voyage doesn't offer a slot for , but it's still one of the most premium e-readers on the market.

If you read a lot and, most importantly, have extra money, this is an obvious choice.

Why should you buy Kindle Voyage? If you're looking for a premium Kindle experience but aren't ready to splurge on Oasis, Voyage is the one to go for.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite

When it all comes down to the screen

Screen size: 6 inches | Screen type: E-Paper | Memory: 4 GB | Resolution: 300 PPI | Weight: 209 g | Backlight: Yes | Touch screen: Yes | Wi-fi: Yes | 3 G: Yes | Working hours: Up to six weeks.

The latest version of the Kindle Paperwhite is the best we've ever seen on the e-reader market with a beautiful 6" HD display that can offer 300ppi density and 4GB of storage to store up to a thousand books on one device.

The Kindle Paperwhite is much closer to being a specialized device designed to get the job done, offering all the benefits of an e-reader. You have access to Amazon's massive book library, and you can even use unlimited Kindle access with the Paperwhite.

The reading tablet offers built-in backlighting so you don't have to suffer from screen glare, even when reading in bright sunlight. The battery is not as good as on the device latest version, since it only lasts six weeks, but it's still good time for reading e-books.

Why should you buy a Kindle Paperwhite? If you're looking for one of the best screens on an e-reader and want to be able to read in bright sunlight, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is your choice.

Amazon Kindle (2016)

Simple digital reading at its best.

Screen size: 6 inches | Screen type: Pearl E-Paper | Memory: 4 GB | Resolution: 167 PPI | Weight: 161 g | Backlight: No | Touch screen: Yes | Wi-fi: Yes | 3 G: No | Working hours: Up to four weeks.

  • pros: Available | Improved design;
  • Minuses: No backlight | The screen could be better;

The Amazon Kindle, or all-new Kindle as Amazon calls it, is the company's basic and most affordable e-reader, costing just $5,000.

The e-reader is different from the previous model, which means you get an adequate (but no backlight) touchscreen, long battery life, and plenty of room for electronic library, along with an intuitive interface that will help you navigate through the books.

Improvements are made in the design - the 2016 model is thinner and lighter than the one that came before, so even if you could carry an entire library with you, you should not feel its weight.

Amazon is also offering a performance boost for the latest Kindle (2016). And while the reader does not argue in this department with Oasis, Voyage or even Paperwhite, for 5000 rubles you cannot ask for more.

Why should you buy a Kindle (2016)? If you want to save on the backlight and high resolution screen compared to expensive Kindles, this is your choice.

Finally, Kindls have come to an end, there is another option that is not made by Amazon. Since Nook is not available everywhere in Russia, Kobo remains as an alternative to Kindle.

Kobo Aura H2O

Reading in the bath has never been easier.

Screen size: 6.8 inches | Screen type: E-Ink | Memory: 4 GB | Resolution: 1430 x 1080 | Weight: 233 g | Backlight: Yes | Touch screen: Yes | Wi-fi: Yes | 3 G: No | Working hours: Up to two months.

  • pros: Waterproof | Battery life;
  • Minuses: Performance Weaknesses | Slow PDF;

It seems surprising that we had to wait so long for a water- and dust-proof reader, since the sauna, pool, and beach are all popular places to read, and Kobo is finally delivering a solution with the Aura H2O.

That's not all there is to it, the bright LED-backlit E-Ink display that only refreshes after six page flips ensures you get a familiar book, long battery life and a microSD card slot.

Unfortunately, the book isn't perfect, as it suffers from a lack of performance that leaves a feeling of sluggishness, especially when viewing a PDF.

There's also no 3G option, while the device's price puts it on par with Amazon's high-end devices. However, as a waterproof e-reader, this is a great choice that will allow you to read in close proximity to the water.

Why should you buy Aura H2O? If you don't like Amazon, or just want to be able to read by the water, the Kobo Aura H2O is a great choice.

For many, Amazon needs no introduction. The company was founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, and a year later the site of the same name was launched, which initially sold only books. Since 1998, the online store began to increase the range of products sold, among which players, films, video games, furniture, clothes and toys began to appear. On this moment the company has almost 200 thousand employees and is one of the largest multimedia giants, whose net income exceeds $ 2 billion a year.

The first device that was released by the company under its own brand was an e-book. The device was called Kindle and was released in 2007 at a price of $399. The first batch sold out in just 6 hours and was a resounding success. The reader was innovative in its own way, at the bottom of the case there was a keyboard for entering text and searching for books in the file manager, and on the side faces there were mechanical buttons for turning pages. Initially, the device was sold only in the United States, but this did not prevent it from gaining popularity around the world, because starting from the second generation, it began to be sold everywhere.

Company `s logo

When these readers appeared on the CIS market, there were some problems, initially the ability to download files not from the company's services was blocked, but over time it disappeared. Therefore, now you can safely download books in Russian for Amazon Kindle. Next, we will consider 5 best models e-books from Amazon Kindle with a small overview of each of them.

Kindle Paperwhite 2015

The company has several lines of readers for different price categories: Kindle, Paperwhite and Voyage. Paperwhite belongs to the middle price category and is the best-selling and popular among other representatives. At the moment, the company can be called the undisputed leader among manufacturers of reading devices.

Kindle Paperwhite 2015

Amazon's pricing policy is visible at a glance, namely from the box, made in matte black shades. If we compare it with the budget model of the reader, then the design is much less attractive. In general, the equipment is not extensive and the buyer will have to wait for the micro-USB cable and quick guide user. No covers, which are a frequent addition from other manufacturers.

If we talk about the design of the device itself, that there is not a single mechanical button on the case, all control is carried out using the touch screen. The company did not cut off the freed edges, which is why the device is comfortable to hold from absolutely any side, which eliminates problems with accidental pressing on the display or on mechanical buttons. All the necessary elements are now located on the bottom of the case, including a small power button, an indicator and a charging connector. The case is made of matte plastic in order to minimize the fingerprints left on the surface, there are no complaints about the assembly either, since the device is completely integral.

Characteristics:

  • Control: via touch screen
  • Backlight: yes
  • WiFi: yes
  • Display diagonal: 6 "
  • Resolution: 1448x1072 px
  • HDD: 4 GB (SD card - not supported)
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • Battery: Not Specified
  • Weight: 205g
  • Price: 8200 rubles

The reader has an E-Ink Carta display, which, compared to its predecessor Pearl, has a more contrasty display and bypasses it in several parameters at once. The screen resolution, as well as the density of pixels per inch, make one admire, since the resolution is 1448x1072 with a density of 300. This result is undoubtedly the best on the market and the only one who can compete with it is a direct competitor in the face of PocketBook or Sony.

The company claims that the device can work on a single charge for a week, but in practice, due to the enlarged display, this result is much less.

Amazon Kindle 8

This model is rightfully called the best among budget readers. This is a simple e-reader without unnecessary features, which is perfect for a person who wants to enjoy comfortable reading. This solution is also reflected in the price of the product, compared to a more advanced version, the budget line can be bought for about 5,500 rubles. The package will include a charging cable and a user manual. If necessary, a cover or cover can be purchased separately, since this is a popular model, so it will not be difficult.

Reader in two colors

Characteristics

  • Management: using a sensor
  • Backlight: no
  • WiFi: yes
  • Display diagonal: 6 "
  • Resolution: 800x600 px
  • HDD: 4 GB (without SD card support)
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • Battery: no data
  • Weight: 161g
  • Price: 5 thousand rubles

The characteristics of the device stand out among competitors, 512 megabytes are installed under the cover of the device random access memory, which is a good value for the money, especially for people who plan to open heavy forms like PDFs.

The internal memory is 4 gigabytes, which is enough to store several thousand books without illustrations. The screen resolution, although small, but has a high pixel density, the E-Ink Pearl display, although not considered innovative and inferior new version Carta, but produces an excellent picture. In standalone mode, the reader definitely lasts more than a week, although Amazon says that if desired, the device is able to work for about 20 days on a single charge.

Kindle Oasis

The company has an expensive Voyage line, which was sold at fairly high prices and belonged to the “elite” series, but recently, Amazon decided to go further and put it into production. new line Oasis. These devices belong to the premium class and they are not afraid to sell them at the price of full-fledged tablets based on Android or iOS, which is a rather strange decision, but they also have their customers.

Characteristics:

  • Control: using a sensor and mechanical buttons
  • Backlight: yes
  • WiFi: yes
  • Display Diagonal: 7"
  • Resolution: 1440x1080 px
  • HDD: 8 or 32 GB
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • Battery: not specified
  • Weight: 194g
  • Price: 25 thousand rubles

The case is made of pleasant and high-quality matte plastic, while it is completely integral and has no gaps and backlashes. Three of the four sides are narrow and act as frames for the screen, the right side is noticeably thicker, so the user is initially offered a grip with the right hand, without giving a choice. This decision is the most inconvenient for those people who are used to holding the reader with both hands. In the same place are mechanical buttons for turning pages. Finishing the topic with the assembly of the reader - it has waterproof protection according to IPx8 standards, so now it is possible to read books even in the pool.

As expected from the premium class, there are no problems with performance. It has 512 megabytes of RAM and, depending on the version purchased, 8 or 32 gigabytes of internal memory. Also included is the ability to listen to audiobooks, but with one big “but”, the device has neither speakers nor a headphone jack, so listening is only possible using a Bluetooth headset. The screen diagonal is 7 inches and has a resolution of 1680x1264 with a density of 300 pixels per inch. And of course, the last thing the manufacturer offers is to buy a special case with an extra battery to increase the duration of use, the price of such pleasure will be $20.

Amazon Kindle Keyboard 3G

Kindle Keyboard 3G

This device appeared six months after the DX model, which will be discussed later, and it turned out to be more successful and refined than its predecessor. There are several reasons for this. The reader had two release versions with and without a Wi-Fi module, which already diluted the pricing policy and made it possible to choose. The design is made in dark colors, the body is made of plastic, at the bottom there is a keyboard and a joystick to control the device. On the right side there are buttons for turning pages, which are large in size, which makes them as convenient as possible for turning from any position.

Characteristics:

  • Control: using joystick, mechanical buttons and keyboard
  • Backlight: no
  • Wi-Fi: can be bought with or without a module
  • Display diagonal: 6 "
  • Resolution: 800x600 px
  • HDD: 4 GB (without SD card support)
  • RAM: 256 MB
  • Battery: no data
  • Weight: 247 g
  • Price: 9 thousand rubles

The screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels is a good combination for a 6-inch display and allows you to show an excellent picture and clear fonts. Manufacturers promise a month of offline operation, which, in general, with such characteristics is quite affordable and realistic. Of the 4 gigabytes, only 3 are available to the user, but this is enough for several thousand e-books.

Kindle DX

This model was once one of the most popular in the CIS market, since in 2009 the company first launched its readers on the international market, and in 2010 Amazon launched the Kindle DX. For all its popularity, the reader was bought more because of the brand than because of the quality, since it turned out to be unfinished at the beginning of sales, and the available services were more likely to be superfluous for the average person, as they were paid and English-speaking.

Characteristics:

  • Control: using the keyboard, joystick and buttons
  • Backlight: no
  • WiFi: no
  • Display diagonal: 6 "
  • Resolution: 1200x824 px
  • HDD: 4 GB
  • RAM: 256 MB
  • Battery: no data
  • Weight: 535 g
  • Price: 25 thousand rubles

The case is nice, made of matte plastic, on the side there are mechanical control keys and a joystick, at the bottom of the screen there is a keyboard for easy searching and quick note-taking while reading. On the bottom side are two speakers and a micro-USB connector for charging and transferring files. Unlike its newer counterpart, a headphone jack was added to this model, which made the reader a full-fledged player for listening to audiobooks.

As for the screen, its diagonal is almost equal to 10 inches, and the resolution is 1200x824 pixels with a density of 150 ppi. With such a screen and 3G turned on, the battery charge will last for about a week of use, in the case of battery life - up to two weeks. Internal memory is 4 gigabytes of which only 3.3 gigabytes are available. The weight of the device is not easy and is almost half a kilogram, which is why, during prolonged use, hands get tired quickly. Amazon for the first time made the interface for the Kindle Keyboard completely in Russian.

Hello everyone Do you like to read books on your smartphone? Maybe you love it, maybe you don't, but if you do, then the Amazon Kindle app might be of interest to you. The fact is that Amazon Kindle is a convenient program for reading books from a mobile device that runs on Android. So this is a reader, while it is simple, it does not have any complexity in itself, even a beginner can figure it out. The program itself has the word Amazon in it, well, of course, not just like that, the reader is primarily created for the branded Amazon Kindle reader, but there is a version for Android!

This application can be found in the Google Play Store. At startup, you will be prompted to log into an Amazon account, if you do not have one, then you can create it right in the program

We turned on the program, you need to enter it, without this there is no way:

Look, this is the reader from Amazon, well, that is, the Amazon Kindle, here it is in a case:

By the way, I didn't know! But the screens of Amazon Kindle readers are based on electronic ink, there are 16 shades of gray and all this in order to make it look more like a real book, that's cool!

I also found out that there is a reader not only for smartphones or tablets, but also for ordinary stationary computers, like this

That's when you launched the program, then the Home screen will immediately open in front of you, well, this is something like a home page where your books will be, they will go in the form of slides. If you click on a book, it will open. In the right corner of the screen, you can see the Recycle Bin icon, it is necessary to go to the Kindle Store and purchase some kind of book there. But, alas, there is no Russian reading material, or very little. Look, here is this store icon (like a cart from a supermarket):

On the left side there is a button that is needed to display the following options:

Well, you see there in the menu the first button is the Home screen, if you press it, then I think you will return to the start window of the application. If you click Search, you can search for some book among those that have already been downloaded. Synchronization button, this is apparently to synchronize something, but what? Probably applications on different devices, maybe so ... Here I honestly won’t tell you, but I don’t want to lie ...

There is even some kind of Newsstand, well, did you see it on the menu? I don't know what it is, but it sounds damn cool.

Here I found a picture, this is already in the settings of the Amazon Kindle application:

So what can be done here, oh, well, that is, set up? There is such as Device name, here you specify the name of your device. The fact is that you can have several devices where the Amazon Kindle program is installed, and all devices were signed in to the same account! So that there is no confusion, you can name each program on each device in the settings. Damn, the guys wrote something so much. In the settings, you can still unregister the device, which I honestly don’t know, there are still some notifications ... And, damn it, there is still control using the volume buttons. Guys, this is a TOPIC, because it's a cool FEATURE OF THE PROG! It is convenient to scroll through the pages using the volume buttons, try it and then tell me

By the way, I've been thinking, do all devices support turning pages using the volume buttons? But this moment needs to be checked ... Alas, I do not have the opportunity to check ...

I also learned that here you can read a book .. You read, read, and then you read something important, what an important thing! Don’t worry, this important thing can be highlighted, noted somehow, I don’t know exactly how this is done, but I know that you can change the color, add some kind of comment, there is even a feature such that you can immediately throw this phrase into a search engine and search for information on it

And here is the Kindle Store open on the tablet:

The reader does not seem to be bad, but damn it, many people write that the reader is super and others write that the reader sucks. How to understand what is true and what is false? Well, here you can either watch videos on YouTube or take and try this reader at work, what else can I say. Here is another picture, it seems like a book is displayed here, but I can’t say for sure what it is, but it definitely refers to the Amazon Kindle application:

Many users are dissatisfied, but not a program, but the fact that it is not easy to remove this program! And that is completely impossible! I can’t say anything here, watch YouTube videos, there are a lot of specialists showing how to remove an application on Android, including those that are difficult to remove! I strongly advise you not to do your own work and use some of your own tricks to remove the Amazon Kindle, what if something goes wrong ...?

Introduction

Personally, I am a big fan of the Paperwhite line from Amazon, my acquaintance with the company's products began with these books, and they (first the first and then the second generation) became constant companions on the subway and on the road. Thin and light, with a perfectly responsive touch screen, backlighting, reasonable price and a very comfortable own shell.

I not only enjoyed using these books, but also bought them as gifts for my friends and even my mother, because I knew for sure that the Paperwhite had all the necessary features at the highest level. Perhaps the only thing that these readers lacked was a higher resolution (although in 2013 there were also 1024x758 pixels) and the Russian language, but both appeared in the new version of 2015.

Equipment

Amazon e-books come with a very modest bundle. In addition to the book itself and documentation, only a USB-microUSB cable was put in the box.

Appearance, materials, controls, assembly

Part by part appearance The e-book has not undergone significant changes in comparison with past generations. All the same black matte plastic with a soft-touch coating and all the same power button, indicator light and microUSB port on the bottom. Only the material of the power button has changed, it is now glossy (in the video review, I made a mistake saying that the microUSB and the button have changed places, I apologize for this reservation). Unfortunately, the use of soft-touch negatively affects the pollution of the book, dust particles constantly cling to it, even if you just wiped it.

In addition, the Amazon logo in the new version is no longer glossy. That's all the changes in appearance.

In fact, this continuity in design has another plus: all the cases you bought for last year's Paperwhites will also work perfectly for the 2015 model.

Dimensions

As I wrote above, visually Paperwhite 2015 is not much different from its previous generation, the same applies to the dimensions of the book.

On the other hand, users also have nothing to complain about: the book is thin, light, it is convenient to hold it for a long time with one or two hands, and it is quite compact, its weight is practically not felt in a backpack or bag.

Although, of course, Amazon is not the leader here in terms of dimensions, pay attention to the dimensions of the Pocketbook Ultra 650 from the table, they are noticeably smaller, especially the weight.

Screen

To be honest, I almost looked forward to opening the packaging of the brand new Kindle Paperwhite imagining how great text would look on its high-resolution display. And so, I turn on the book, flip through the pages, go through the menu and ... I see absolutely no difference between the screens of the Paperwhite 2015 and 2013 (unfortunately, I didn’t have the 2014 book on hand).

Compared to Kindle Paperwhite 2013

For the sake of interest, I let a colleague compare the displays of both readers, without telling him where which of the books is. After a long comparison, he was also unable to notice the difference in the displays. Now we are talking about medium-sized text.

What all eight font sizes look like

If you read books in very small print, then in this case you will still see an improvement, the letters will be a little clearer on the Paperwhite 2015, but the difference is not as striking as I expected.

Pay attention to the letter "e", this is a photo of screens using minimal fonts. If you look closely, you can see that on the Paperwhite 2015 (left) it is a little clearer.

This is a very important note, especially for owners of Paperwhite 2012/2013/2014: if you were planning to update your book this year, then I do not recommend doing this, you will be disappointed with the difference in displays.

Left Paperwhite 2015, right - 2013

However, if you haven't owned a Kindle Paperwhite before, you'll definitely like its screen: no glare, a nice, slightly rough, fingerprint-resistant screen protector, and a backlight for reading in dimly lit areas. I have read more than a dozen books on Paperwhite and I can safely say that you will feel the difference between backlit E-Ink and a regular tablet display (iPad Air, for example) at the first reading. If when reading from a tablet your eyes get tired after a couple of hours, then you can comfortably read from an e-book for six hours in a row.

Functionality

I'll start with the good: Amazon finally has official support for the Russian language. Now you can search single words in Russian text, use Russian keyboard and English-Russian dictionary.

You can upload books to the reader in one of three ways:

  1. Using a cable, connecting your Kindle to your computer
  2. By sending a book using the Send-to-Kindle app. By the way, Send-to-Kindle extensions are also available for the most popular browsers, so you can send an interesting article directly to your Paperwhite in a couple of clicks.
  3. After sending a book to your email in the kindle.com domain, it will automatically arrive on your device within 5-10 seconds (you can send several books at once).

Kindle can support the following book formats: Kindle Format 8 (AZW3), Kindle (AZW), TXT, PDF, unprotected MOBI, PRC natively; HTML, DOC, DOCX. As you can see, neither FB2 nor ePub is here. However, do not rush to get upset, all the leading online libraries and stores with legal content have been uploading books to MOBI for a long time. For example, I buy books on Litres, where you can immediately download the purchased book in MOBI and immediately send it to your reader.

The reader can sync a book position with the Kindle app, available for Android, iOS, OS X, Windows Phone, and Windows desktop. This is very convenient for those who usually read on a Kindle, but sometimes want to switch to a tablet or smartphone while on the road if they left the e-reader at home.

The book can work with dictionaries, English-Russian and Russian-English from ABBYY LINGVO is already loaded into its memory. To view the translation of a word, you just need to hold your finger on it. Wikipedia search is also available right away, and all this in one pop-up window!

The reader also has its own browser, but it is still in the status of "experimental", so do not expect much from it. On the other hand, in order to go to the page and read something, its capabilities are enough.

In terms of text settings, Amazon is traditionally sparse, with only six fonts available, three sizes for margins and indents between lines, and eight font sizes. Of course, now some reader lover like Cool Reader will wrinkle his nose, but let's be honest, the usual reader has enough text customization options for his eyes.

Offline work

Amazon does not provide data on the battery capacity of the Paperwhite 2015, but they say that the book is able to work up to six weeks on a single charge. It is clear that it is rather problematic to check these figures, but judging by the previous generations of Paperwhite, the book will work for a month in reading mode for one to two hours. It is important to understand that a lot depends on how strong the backlight you use.

How to buy?

At the moment, you have three guaranteed ways to purchase the Kindle Paperwhite 2015.

  1. Buy a reader from an intermediary in Russia, the average price in this case will be 10,000-11,000 rubles for the version with advertising.
  2. Order a book through an intermediary in the USA, for example, Parcel or Shipito. I used this method, the shipping fee was $25.
  3. Order it directly through Amazon, yes, yes, they now deliver their books to Russia, shipping will cost you only $20.

Feel free to order this book through resellers or directly from the US. Delivery in both cases is 7-10 days, while you save about 3,000-4,000 rubles.

Conclusion

If you order a book from the USA, then its cost will be 8,000-8,500 rubles with delivery; when buying from us, the price varies from 10,000 to 12,000 rubles. Personally, I would recommend ordering directly through Amazon, do not be afraid, you will have the package in a week, at the same time you will understand what it is like to order from Western online stores.

Again, if you're an owner of a previous generation of Paperwhite, it's definitely not worth upgrading to the 2015 version of your book, despite the appeal of the increased display resolution.

But if you are only planning to buy an e-book for yourself and are ready to spend about 9,000 rubles on it, then the Paperwhite 2015 is one of the best options: fast, convenient, functional, with an excellent display and support for the Russian language.

Among the competitors, two models stand out in particular:

Onyx Boox T76ML Cleopatra. This reader is very similar to the Paperwhite in terms of features, except that the display is slightly larger and it comes with a case. However, retail Cleopatra sells for 14,000 rubles, which is almost twice as expensive if you order a Kindle on Amazon.

PocketBook 840. High resolution book from Pocketbook. It also has a larger screen size. Let me quote the conclusion of Artem Lutfullin:

Of the pluses, I note the “omnivorousness” of the book (any formats are accepted without conversion and unnecessary movements), excellent indicators of working time (the book is capable of serving more than ten days in reading mode for 3-4 hours a day), as well as the presence of pleasant additional features like an audio player, Wi-Fi, and the ability to download books via Dropbox. Of the minuses - significant weight and overall rough shape (the book looks harsh, I would say, not as elegant and neat as PocketBook 626, for example, and even more so 650), as well as the screen - you expect incredible clarity of fonts from a display with such a resolution, here, at certain font sizes, there are problems, and in general, the display contrast could be better. But this is just my subjective impression. Cons in PocketBook 840 overlap with comfortable work with books in PDF format. I recommend paying attention to this device first of all to those who read literature in PDF.

At the same time, I note that now the 840th costs an average of 17,000 rubles!

As you can see, the Paperwhite 2015 has no direct competitors in terms of price-performance ratio, the two books described above are too expensive. In general, I definitely recommend the reader to everyone who is not yet familiar with Amazon products, and owners of previous generations of Paperwhite should wait a little with the purchase.

Oh yes, there is also Kindle Voyage, which has a similar display. But this book is about 4,000 rubles more expensive if you order it from the USA, and 8,000-9,000 rubles more expensive if you buy from us. And from the significant advantages, only a slightly better display can be distinguished, but, as my comparison of Paperwhite of various generations showed, you most likely will not notice this difference, but the saved 4,000-9,000 rubles will definitely come in handy!
