From the author

Familiarization of older children preschool age with the professions of adults is one of the important tasks of the socialization of the child. The concept of professions allows children to penetrate deeper into the world of adults, to understand and accept it. It forms an interest in work, gives rise to a dream of one's own future, makes it possible to be proud of the results of the work of one's close relatives, people in general. The transformation of the world of professions clearly shows children how scientific thought develops, technical progress in society and the world. Experiencing the influence of the results of the work of adults on themselves, children are practically aware of its significance. Work for all becomes clear to a child of preschool age, the socialization of the results of adult labor helps him to understand the interdependence of people in a social community.

The reflection of the work of adults in role-playing games shows the importance of this area of knowledge for children.

The relevance of the formation in children of primary ideas about work, its role in society and the life of each person is justified by the Federal State Educational Standard.

The range of professions that older preschoolers are introduced to is quite wide. However, not every profession a teacher can introduce children to by organizing excursions and targeted walks. Thematic dictionaries, visual aids, material from the Internet and, of course, stories, poems and fairy tales come to the rescue.

Only a combination of different methods and forms can give a result. It is necessary to interest preschoolers so that they have a desire to know the topic as deeply as possible, to get in touch with it personally, to dream of trying themselves in this area of human activity.

The author offers several teaching aids to familiarize children aged 5-8 with professions. In books under the general title "Let's play in the profession", published by the publishing house "Ts Sfera" in 2015, classes, games, poems, riddles, physical education minutes, gymnastics for designated professions are systematized. This book is a good addition to those books.

Children's stories with a plot are closer and more understandable to a preschooler. They help you look at professional activity adult through the eyes of a child, connect your personal experience.

Descriptive stories include more necessary information, but require children to concentrate, process information, and memorize.

All stories contribute to the development of children's speech. Questions and tasks of the educator after reading are aimed at developing the ability to reason, draw conclusions, tell, correctly build sentences, enrich and activate the vocabulary.

The sections have goals, each story has a methodological part with questions, assignments and vocabulary work. The interpretation of concepts at the end of each section will help teachers most accurately and correctly explain the meaning of the words used in the stories, and children will enrich their vocabulary. Words for vocabulary work are italicized in the texts.

Several stories are offered about each profession, which allows you to reveal it more deeply. When writing them, the author relied on the material of encyclopedias, Wikipedia, federal laws, job descriptions, qualification requirements to positions, dictionaries. Some stories can serve as the basis for building games, for example, “Railway Station”, “Port”, etc. Especially for boys, cognitive material was selected about the technology and heroism of the everyday life of people of different professions. For example, in the description of the profession of the captain of a sea vessel, various commands are used for the interaction of sailors on a ship, which children can use in their creative games.

The amount of material offered to children is determined by the educator. Undoubtedly, long stories must be read in parts. The stories require discussion of individual points in the course of reading, consideration of numerous examples. Concepts unfamiliar to children can be disassembled before reading, but be sure to clarify again in the process of reading. Such professions as a journalist, a media worker are difficult for children to understand, therefore, reliance on the specific material available to them, including video, is mandatory.

How Anya began to understand her mother

Anna's mom works at the post office. telecom operator first class. She has so much work to do that by the end of the day she just collapses. Anya could not understand why her mother was so tired. She was offended when her mother refused to play with her in the evening, and went to her room.

One day, the kindergarten that Anya went to was closed for repairs. Mom had to take her daughter with her to work, because there was no one to leave her at home with. Mom put her daughter at the table, gave her an album for drawing, paints and pencils, asked Anya not to make noise and not distract her from work. The girl drew a little, she got bored, and she went to inspect the post office.

The post office where Anya's mother worked was small and served one of the microdistricts of the city. It had only two cabins for long-distance telephone communication. In these booths, one could talk on the phone with relatives, friends or business partners living in other cities.

Together with my mother, two more telecom operators, the head of the post office and two postmen worked. During the day, these few people did so much work that Anya even felt dizzy.

Telecom operators, including Anya's mother, worked with visitors, postmen and workers from the main post office - the most important post office in the city.

Anya approached the department in which the telecom operator Maria Ivanovna worked. She received and packed parcels and parcels, entering all the data about them into the computer. She also gave parcels and parcels to visitors who came to the post office to receive them. Maria Ivanovna carefully read receipt recipient and checked it against the passport. Anya asked her:

- Maria Ivanovna, why don't you immediately give out the parcel, and so carefully read some papers?

“I read the receipt and the recipient's passport so carefully in order not to give the parcel or parcel to the wrong person for whom it was intended,” Maria Ivanovna answered seriously. “I also weigh parcels and parcels to check the accuracy of the weight, and check for any damage to the packaging.

- And I would just give the parcel to the one who came for it, - Anya said, - then there would be no queue at all.

“You can’t do that,” Maria Ivanovna answered in an edifying tone. – Would you like it if someone else received your package or if the toy you were waiting for fell out of it on the way? Do not ask silly questions. Better help me put the parcels in the mail bag. Add up and count. Then tell me how many are in the bag. Anya gladly set to work. The parcels were not as heavy as parcels, so the girl easily coped with her task. She could only count to ten. When there were ten parcels in the bag, Anya told Maria Ivanovna about it.

- Well done, Anechka, - the operator praised the girl, - you did my job well. I'm hiring you as my assistant.

“Please,” Anya replied, “but I still need to help the others. They should also have helpers.

And Anya went to the department where the telecom operator Elena Petrovna worked. There was a long queue to her window.

Why is there such a long line for you? Anya asked Elena Petrovna.

– Because everyone wants to quickly pay the rent or get retirement, child allowances, - Elena Petrovna answered, not looking up from her computer and receipts.

Anya immediately realized that Elena Petrovna should not be distracted, because she was counting money. The girl went to see what her mother was doing. She quietly sat down next to her and watched her mother work. Mom took the pack first registered letters from a girl. She weighed them on special scales, pasted on them stamps and entered all the data into the computer. Then my mother punched the receipt and took money from the girl for sending letters. The grandmother followed the girl to the mother's window. She wanted to subscribe to the Our Garden magazine. Mom helped Grandma fill out the receipt and charged her for the year. Next in line was the woman who bought from mom envelope, postcard and stamps, and the man behind her sent her daughter to another city remittance. The young man, who was in line behind the man, received the money order by presenting his passport.

Anya's mother did not have a single minute when she could rest. The queue didn't end. Anya found working with visitors very difficult. Elderly people who could not see and hear well had to explain something for a long time, to help in processing postal items. Others wanted to quickly buy an envelope or stamps without waiting in line. There were always people who needed to answer some question.

Anya's mother tried to be polite and restrained with everyone. All visitors were pleased with it, thanked for the work. Anya wondered how her mother had enough time and patience for everyone?

Finally, it's time for lunch. Anya, along with her mother and other operators, was able to rest and eat.

In the afternoon, Anya took a closer look at the work of telecom operators with a computer. They included information about postal items and receiving them. Computer work required constant attention and concentration. By the end of the day, the eyes of the operators were very tired, and their back ached from tension. Anya really wanted to help the operators, but, unfortunately, she still did not know how to use a computer, and children are not allowed to do such responsible work.

Anya realized that the work of her mother and other telecom operators is very responsible. If they incorrectly issue the postal item, it will not arrive at the addressee, but will return back or may be lost. No one would like their letter or package not to reach their destination.

Anya helped her mother stack registered letters, and then went to the postmen's room. Together with them, she arranged newspapers and magazines into cells on large shelves and in special boxes for those people who go to receive letters, newspapers and magazines in the mail. Such boxes called subscription. But the pension, which postmen deliver to grandparents at home, the girl was not allowed to lay out. Money is not for children. The postmen left to deliver mail and pensions to their homes, and Anya was left alone. During the day she was so tired that she fell asleep right on the chair.

The working day ended, and mother and daughter went home. On the way, I still had to go to the store to buy groceries, but there was almost no strength left for this. In the evening, Anya no longer wanted to jump and run. Only now did she realize how tired her mother was. The coloring book, which my mother bought for her daughter in gratitude for her help, remained lying on the table until the next day.

After the girl went to her mother at the post office, she began to take care of her. Every evening she ran to meet her, brought her slippers, helped hang clothes, cooked her dinner. Anya wanted her mother to rest and relax after a hard day's work.

Despite the fact that the work of the telecom operator seemed difficult to Anya, the girl liked it. Doing something for people is so important!

Wagon with white stripe

One day, Vitya and his dad went, as usual, to the railway station to watch the passing trains. It was theirs favourite hobby. Dad told his son a lot about trains, their purpose, and distinctive features. Electric trains, passenger trains rushed past long distance, freight trains.

Suddenly, Vitya saw a car with a white diagonal stripe on a blue background, an emblem and the inscription "Russian Post".

- What is this wagon? Vitya asked his father. - Some strange, not like everyone else.

- This is indeed mail car, Dad replied. - Don't you know about it? Then I'll tell you. On the railway transport postal items (parcels, parcels, letters) are transporting mail-baggage trains and mail cars as part of fast passenger trains. So that everyone can recognize mail trains and wagons, they use distinctive signs: a strip, emblem and an inscription. You saw these signs on the mail car. But you did not notice the special beacons that light up and flash. They are called flashers. This is also the insignia of the mail car.

“By the way,” Dad added, “post is transported not only by railway, but also on road, air and water transport. And everywhere such transport is provided with unhindered access to post offices and post offices.

The train with the unusual carriage stopped. From it, postal workers began to unload bags, load them on carts and take them somewhere. Vitya noticed that the car was guarded by armed men.

- Dad, why are some bags unloaded from the mail car? Why is he being guarded? he asked his father.

“Let’s go up to the car and ask the postal workers what they are doing,” my father suggested.

They approached the car when the unloading was already over. Turning to one of the workers, they learned that he was the head of the traveling brigade. The boss, whose name was Ivan Vasilyevich, liked that the little boy was interested in his work. He talked with pleasure to the father and son, told about the transportation of mail by rail.

“Working with the mail is very responsible,” Ivan Vasilyevich began, “not a single letter, not a single parcel should be lost or go to the wrong address. By rail, mail is transported by special traveling brigades with a boss at the head. They work electrical conductors mail wagons. You, Vitya, probably know that electricians work with electrical equipment. They serve such electrical installations, with the help of which it moves postal cargo . There is so much of it and it is so heavy that it would be very difficult to carry so much mail by hand.

In addition, the postal cargo needs unload and upload to railway carriage quickly, without violating the traffic schedule trains, because all trains on the railway arrive at the station and depart from it at a strictly defined time.

- You, Vitya, would you like your grandmother to receive, for example, the parcel that you sent out on time and safely? - Ivan Vasilievich turned to the boy.

- Of course I would! the boy exclaimed. “Otherwise, Grandma will be very upset.”

- Each person is interested in that his postal item was delivered on time, not lost, not torn, not pasted, not opened by anyone except the addressee. What is being done in the mail? Ivan Vasilyevich continued. - Postal items are securely packed in strong containers (bags) made of cellophane, boxes made of cardboard, special material or plastic. For each postal item, telecom operators draw up a receipt and enter information about it into a computer. None of the outsiders can get into the postal car, wagon, postal premises in airplane or at sea vessel. In addition, these rooms are equipped with a special signaling. She serves security and fire warning. In addition to signaling, there is also a whole postal security unit, which employs armed guards.

What a serious business it is - mail transportation! Grow up, Vitya, and come to work with us.

“I never thought that mail needed to be guarded,” Vitya said thoughtfully, “I thought that only some military facilities needed to be guarded. What a responsible job you have! May I shake your hand? - the boy turned to Ivan Vasilyevich.

Ivan Vasilyevich smiled, but held out his hand to the boy. His hand was large and strong. Vitya remembered this handshake for a long time. Now, when the trains rushed past him and his father, he always singled out the postcards to himself and recalled the conversation with the head of the mail car.

Questions and tasks

● Where did Vitya and dad like to go? What were they doing there?

● Which wagon caught the boy's attention? What external insignia does mail transport have? What modes of transport transport mail?

How Lena and her mother sent a parcel

One day, Lena and her mother went to the post office to send a package to her grandfather in the village. Grandfather was very sweet, so mother and daughter bought various sweets, waffles, marshmallows and other goodies. All this they put in a bag and went to the post office.

At the post office, they bought a special cardboard box of the right size and began to put sweets into it. Lena helped her mother with pleasure, because she imagined how delighted her grandfather would be at the gifts and with what pleasure he would drink tea.

Near the table where Lena and her mother were packing the package, there was a poster hanging on the wall. The girl looked at the pictures with curiosity. For some reason they were all crossed out with a red line.

- What are these pictures? Lena asked her mother. Why are they all crossed out?

- Now we are at the end let's pack send, let's do inventory its contents, we will write on the box our address and grandfather's address, and then I'll tell you about these pictures, - answered my mother.

While they were waiting for their turn to return the parcel, the mother told her daughter about the strange pictures.

“Look at the pictures,” Mom said to Lena, “what do they tell you about?”

“If something is crossed out, it is forbidden,” Lena answered confidently. - we studied the rules of behavior in the forest in kindergarten, and there were also crossed out pictures. They depicted what cannot be done in the forest.

- Well done! mother praised her daughter. - Now tell me, what is prohibited for shipment?

“In this picture, weapons are crossed out,” Lena noticed, “and in this one, probably, everything that can catch fire. I also see money, food, animals and plants. But I do not understand why they are crossed out.

“You are very attentive,” my mother once again praised, “you correctly noted that it is impossible to send all types of weapons, all sorts of dangerous substances that can cause a fire, people can be poisoned. Products cannot be sent only those that quickly deteriorate. Imagine, someone will receive a parcel, open it, and everything is sour and rotten there. Little pleasant. And if all this also leaks and spoils things in other parcels, not one person, but many will have to be upset. As for animals and plants, their poisonous species are prohibited for shipment. This is dangerous for postal workers and recipients. Anything that can lead to loss of life, illness, injury, destruction of mail, postal transport and surrounding buildings is prohibited from being sent by mail.

– But we don’t have in the package prohibited items? Lena asked anxiously.

“No,” Mom replied with a smile. - the sweets that we send to grandfather can be stored for a long time, they do not pose a threat to anyone.

It was their turn. The telecom operator asked my mother for an inventory of the contents of the package and checked all the contents in the open box. Only then did she close it, glue it with special self-adhesive strips, weigh it on the scales, and stick it on the box. receipt and put postmark. The package was ready to ship. The operator entered all the data about the parcel into the computer, took a fee for sending and issued a receipt to my mother, which contained information about who sent the parcel, from where, to whom and where, the date of sending.

- And our package will not be lost? Lena asked her mother incredulously.

“Of course not,” Mom said confidently. - Russian Post works like clockwork. Therefore, our parcel will be delivered exactly to the address. I think that grandfather will call us soon.

Indeed, a week later grandfather called and said in a joyful voice that received parcel. He thanked his daughter and granddaughter so much that they immediately wanted to do something more pleasant for grandfather.

Now Lena knew that not only hardworking, but also caring and very responsible people work at the post office.

Questions and tasks

● Where did mother and daughter go? For what?

● Where did they get the box?

● What items and substances are prohibited from shipping? Why?

● How did the operator prepare the package for shipment? How do they know at the post office where to send the parcel? Why is the sender issued a receipt? What is written in it?

There would be a hunt - any work would work out.

Those who don't work don't eat.

As you sink, so you pop.

The day is long until the evening, if there is nothing to do.

You can't even pull a fish out of a pond without difficulty.

Business - time, fun - hour.

    Working with parents:

    1. Parents' stories about their professions and their importance

    2. Individual consultations with parents during the project

    3. Providing parents with a list of books about professions recommended for reading with children

    4. Help of parents in the selection of attributes for role-playing games.

    The final stage:

    1. Creation of a collective wall newspaper "It's not so important who we are, it's enough to love our work."

    2. Creation of the album "Stories of children" Professions of our parents "(together with parents)

    Result achieved:

    1. The children of the group expanded and deepened their knowledge about the existence of different professions, about the significance and value of each work.

    2. The project contributed to the emergence of interest in the professions of their parents and the professions of kindergarten employees, children began to participate more actively in discussions, debates about which profession is more interesting.

    3. Most of the children (19 out of 28) have learned to compose short stories about the profession of their parents, confidently present them to their comrades.

    4. Daily discussions and viewing of the album with photos and stories of children about the professions of their parents enriched their vocabulary of children, contributed to an increase in their speech activity of children.

    5. The project contributed to the education of children respectful attitude to working people, the desire to help at home parents, educators and a nanny (assistant educator) in kindergarten.

    6. Parents told the children about their profession, helped the children compose and write down the story they had compiled, designed a page with a photo from the place of work.

    7. The project strengthened friendly relations between parents and employees, contributed to the desire to cooperate and help children in its implementation.

I am sure that this project made the children look at the work of their parents with different eyes, more respectful of their work. Right choice profession defines life success, so I really hope that in the future my graduates will choose their favorite profession, bringing joy and benefiting people.
