  • persons injured in hostilities;
  • elderly people living alone and people with disabilities who, due to circumstances, are deprived of assistance and unable to independently provide for their own care.

First of all, such a reception can count on:

  • spouses of deceased participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War and war veterans who do not have a re-registered marriage;
  • persons affected by radiation as a result of the Chernobyl disaster and categories of people equated to them;
  • rehabilitated persons and citizens recognized as victims of political repression.

People living with relatives who are unable to properly care for persons in need of assistance for legitimate reasons can also rely on the support of social services (prolonged illness, retirement, frequent departures from home, etc.).

Information! If the beneficiary has a disease that requires constant treatment in hospitals, the provision of social assistance at home may be denied.

Responsibilities of a social worker

Each social worker has a list of obligations for home care to the elderly people assigned to him, the disabled, for example:

  • visit their wards 2 times a week;
  • purchase the necessary medicines in pharmacies, as well as purchase hot meals, necessary goods housework and deliver to the place of residence of the needy;
  • prepare food and hot drinks;
  • to feed the ward if he himself is not able to do it;

Information! These services are provided to these categories of citizens free of charge. If the beneficiary uses additional services that are not included in the list of job duties of a social worker, he will be charged a fee agreed upon in an agreement with the service center.

Citizens who require social assistance and care, but do not fall into any of the possible categories, can take advantage of the provision of one-time and additional services not included in the mandatory list. Examples of such services: delivery of vehicles to undergo rehabilitation procedures for those in need, home assistance in caring for disabled children or accompanying them to educational institutions, etc.

Social worker rights

Federal Law No. 122-FZ of August 2, 1995 “On the Fundamentals of Social Services for the Population in the Russian Federation”, Article 36, Clause 2, states: social workers - employees of state institutions, integrated social service centers have the right:

Depending on the degree of qualification of the employee and the range of services provided, ratios in the size of tariff rates (salaries) for 18 categories of ETC were identified, differences in the labor duties of employees in terms of complexity, skill of personnel, and specific job responsibilities of representatives of public sector were compared and taken into account.
