Cost of one ton of asphalt. What equipment to choose for road repairs. Asphalt concrete production technology

Asphalt production occupies a high position among profitable types of business. There are always problems with roads in Russia. Despite the fact that the service life of high-quality asphalt is about 15 years, roads deteriorate much earlier due to negative impacts environment. Every year the asphalt is changed in certain areas. Therefore, there is always a demand for it.

The asphalt that is laid on roads is a mixture consisting of the following components:

  • sand;
  • crushed stone (of varying degrees of grinding);
  • mineral powder;
  • bitumen (binds the above substances).

The largest share in the mixture is crushed stone (85%), and the smallest is bitumen (5%). The latter component has binding properties only when molten. Therefore, a mixture that is prepared but not applied soon will spoil. Such asphalt loses all its qualities and breaks easily. This refers to the hot look. Therefore, the production of asphalt is not only the preparation of the mixture, but also the timely laying of the road surface.

But there is also the production of cold material, which can subsequently be sold through specialized construction stores.

Step-by-step plan for starting an asphalt production business

This type of business has its advantages:

  • stable income;
  • demand for asphalt;
  • support from the state;
  • year-round production (in the case of cold asphalt production).

Let's get acquainted with the range and types of asphalt production plants

There are three types of asphalt:

  1. Sand. It is made from sand and is used for laying sidewalks and walkways.
  2. Fine grained. It is laid on the main road surfaces. It differs in composition from the first only in the crushed stone fraction, which is 10 mm.
  3. Coarse grain. It is necessary to create the bottom layer of the road. From the name it is clear that for its production they take crushed stone of a large fraction (from 35 mm).

There are two types of plants that make asphalt: cyclic and continuous.

Cyclic

They are located near large cities and produce small quantities finished products, depending on customers' needs. They are good because they produce different types of asphalt.

There are also disadvantages. As a rule, cyclic factories produce a small number of goods. Also, enterprises are classified as stationary.

Continuous

This is a type of factory with minimal technical equipment that provides mobility to the enterprise. They produce asphalt non-stop.

Disadvantages: no special apparatus screens and towers, with the help of which mineral elements are sifted. As a result, the finished product deteriorates.

What profit does asphalt production bring to the business organizer?

Asphalt production in our country is a highly profitable business, regardless of its scale, location and other factors affecting profit margins. The economic indicator depends on:

  • Equipment used for the production of asphalt.
  • Production and administrative costs of the company.
  • Demand for asphalt.
  • Asphalt sales prices.
  • The number of competing enterprises operating in your region.

If we take as a basis the average cost of asphalt, which is produced in a small enterprise, as well as current prices for these products, then, provided that you have reliable sales channels, you can earn about 330 thousand rubles per month.

How much money do you need to start a business?

To open a business you will need considerable funds, which will be used to purchase:

  • equipment (more than 1 million rubles);
  • delivery and installation of units (250 thousand rubles);
  • transportation costs (100 thousand rubles);
  • other expenses (200 thousand rubles).

In total, you will need at least 2 million rubles. But there is also good news. The business will pay for itself in about 6 months.

An asphalt production business is a profitable project that will bring a stable profit. This is due to the high demand for road laying material.

What equipment to choose for asphalt production?

For mobile production you will need the following equipment:

  • mini asphalt plant – produces 3-5 tons per hour (1 million rubles);
  • mobile asphalt concrete plant - produces 10 tons per hour (4 million rubles);
  • front loader (RUB 2 million).

They are suitable for work on the road laying site.

At the cyclic plant, a tower and a screen are installed, which is a sieve and a crusher. With the help of a screen, high quality of the finished asphalt is achieved, since the crushed stone is separated into fractions, preventing large particles from getting into the fine-grained form and vice versa.

OKVED code for asphalt production

According to the all-Russian classifier of activities, asphalt production belongs to the group with OKVED code 26.82.2 (production of asphalt, bitumen, pitch in blocks).

What documents are needed to open?

To carry out legal activities, you must register your business as individual entrepreneurship or society with limited liability. The second option is more profitable if you are going to enter into contracts with legal entities.

The advantage is that no licenses are required. This is due to the lack state standards. Therefore, owners have the right to choose their own production technology.

Asphalt production technology

There are three ways to make asphalt:

  • hot;
  • warm;
  • cold.

They differ from each other in temperature technological process. Below is the technology for preparing hot asphalt.

We select personnel

In order for the enterprise to function effectively, the owner must hire qualified personnel. If management plans to lay the asphalt immediately after it is prepared, then trained employees will also be required for this. Key workers:

  • operators (servicing equipment);
  • movers;
  • general workers;
  • drivers;
  • accountant;
  • manager.

At first, the founder will be able to take on the responsibilities of a manager. And conducting financial statements enterprises can be entrusted to an outsourcing company.

Where to sell asphalt?

You can offer your products:

  • organizations involved in the construction and repair of federal and municipal highways;
  • companies responsible for the condition of sidewalks, roads at the entrances to houses, parking lots, and roads for pedestrians.

A comment

One of the most popular and affordable road surfaces is asphalt. Additional advantages of its use are the relative ease of installation, low maintenance and durability. Therefore, it is not surprising that the vast majority of roads in all regions of the world are asphalt. It is used almost everywhere - for the construction of roads, parking lots, sidewalks and playgrounds.

With its ability to withstand high mechanical loads, asphalt is attractive not only in industrial road construction, but also when arranging paths and sites in private areas, so the issue of the cost of asphalt pavement and the price of its installation becomes quite relevant.

The average price for asphalt is 2000-2500 rubles per ton for large wholesale orders. However, this is the so-called “average temperature in the hospital.” To determine its cost, you first need to understand the types of asphalt and its classification. It should be immediately noted that asphalt is a mixture of sand, crushed stone, minerals and bitumen. Depending on the proportions of their ratio and the presence of additional components, for example, concrete, the strength characteristics of the asphalt pavement change and, accordingly, its price increases proportionally.

The grade of asphalt is determined depending on the viscosity of the bitumen used and the temperature at which laying occurs. There are three varieties:

  • Hot asphalt is used mainly in the construction and repair of public roads. The temperature of the laid asphalt mixture is at least 120-140 degrees. The binder is viscous bitumen. It is characterized by high strength and durability;
  • Warm asphalt is also used mainly in road construction. The temperature of the mixture when laying it is about 40-80 degrees, and low-viscosity bitumen is used as a binder. This installation method also provides a fairly wear-resistant coating.
  • Cold asphalt - it is usually used when repairing highways in winter and when arranging paths and areas in private areas. The temperature of the mixture is equal to the ambient temperature, but not lower than minus 20 degrees Celsius.

The cost per square meter of asphalt consists directly of the price of the asphalt mixture and the cost of laying work, as well as the volume of work performed. When laying yourself, for example, a country path, 1 square meter of coverage will cost approximately 500-600 rubles. In road construction, the price increases many times due to the need to use special equipment, pay workers and other overhead costs. A ton of asphalt is enough to lay 18-20 square meters of pavement with a thickness of 2.5 centimeters. For road construction, such a thickness will not be enough, but for arranging a country path it will be sufficient.

If it is necessary to lay asphalt over large areas, it is advisable to order KAMAZ immediately. Its average load capacity of 13-15 tons is enough to cover 230-300 square meters. At the same time, the cost of Kamaz asphalt will be from 30-32 thousand rubles.

As for the installation itself, its cost depends directly on the volume of work performed and begins from 500 rubles per square meter.
It is important to note that another important factor determining the final cost of the work is whether the asphalt belongs to one or another classification group, among which are:

  • Coarse grain– grain size reaches four centimeters. Such mixtures are usually used for asphalting suburban highways with high throughput car traffic. The grain size makes it possible to withstand heavy loads. The laying time of such a mixture is from two to three hours. It is also used for pothole repair.
  • Medium grain– the grains of such asphalt should not exceed 25 millimeters. It is usually used for arranging roads and streets in urban areas, where the main traffic flow is passenger cars. Laying asphalt takes approximately 2 hours.
  • Fine grain– contains grains up to one centimeter in diameter.

Due to their fineness, such asphalt gives the smoothest surface when compacted. It is mainly installed on sports grounds and areas near residential buildings. In addition, they are equipped with sidewalks and paths.

Thus, its final cost is determined both by the volume of purchase and the methods of installation, as well as the grade. However, in any case, asphalt was and remains the most durable and accessible among others. existing species coverings.

The quality of road materials is determined by the performance, properties and durability of the coatings. Prices for asphalt are determined by a number of factors: from the cost of ingredients to the policy of the manufacturing company.

Products are divided into types and types according to grain size, residual porosity and percentage of main crushed stone. The mixture with a rationally selected ratio of the initial components includes mineral materials and bitumen, whose performance must meet the requirements regulated by regulatory documents.

Based on this, the price of hot asphalt is determined by its type/types and, accordingly, the cost of fractionated granite crushed stone or gabbro-diabase crushed stone, sand, mineral powder and viscous petroleum road bitumen, and grain composition.

Asphalt: price and quality

Asphalt concrete plants for the production of road materials are divided into two groups - cyclic and continuous. The main difference is the presence of a screen for sifting crushed stone. The price of a cube of asphalt produced at a cyclical plant corresponds to the quality due to the exact matching of the grain composition.

Products manufactured in a continuous plant may have inferior properties at a similar cost. The absence of a screen does not allow monitoring the fraction of the mineral component and the presence of foreign inclusions. The problem is solvable. A separate screen can be installed to prepare inert materials.

What determines the price of asphalt when laying

The price per square meter of asphalt is calculated individually and is based on several data.

Main criteria:

  • Volume and complexity earthworks(trough construction, planning, development and removal of soil).
  • Thickness of the asphalt concrete mixture layer, type and price of 1 m3 of asphalt.
  • The thickness of the road base and the cost of materials for its construction (crushed stone, sand).
  • Cost of repair work (milling, filling holes).
  • The scale of road work (priming with bitumen emulsion, drainage, installation of curbs).

Price of asphalt in “Bely Rast Asphalt Plant”

"ABZ Bely Rast" sells crushed stone-mastic, sand, coarse-grained and fine-grained dense/porous mixtures directly from the manufacturer and provides road paving services.

The favorable cost of a cube of any material is the result of the absence of an intermediary markup. The competitiveness of the price of 1 m2 of asphalt is a consequence of the availability own park road construction equipment.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY AND INDUSTRY

Today, the condition of roads in Russia is improving compared to the previous decade. However, according to experts and the population, it is still very far from satisfactory. With a total length of federal highways of 24.9 thousand km, only 33% are in good condition, 67% in satisfactory condition and 1% in unsatisfactory condition. The total length of connecting routes is 40% in good condition, 42% in satisfactory condition, and 19% in unsatisfactory condition. The total length of regional roads, of which 31% are in good condition, 43% in satisfactory condition, and 26% in poor condition. At the same time, the condition of roads in the Omsk region is assessed primarily as unsatisfactory (this also applies to the city itself).

IN Lately In road construction, there is a tendency towards the active development of innovations and advanced technologies. It is believed that the problems in the industry were associated with poor technical regulation until 2011, carried out by the Ministry of Regional Development. After the industry was transferred to the Ministry of Transport, the situation began to show improvement trends. Despite the rather slow pace, the positive impact of industry restructuring is visible on many federal highways. For example, recycling technology is used - creating new asphalt concrete using old road pavements removed with special equipment. Another innovation is the use of cement instead of bitumen in the road surface, which increases the load-bearing capacity of the road surface and its durability. Geosynthetic materials are being actively introduced, also to increase the strength and durability of the road surface.

However, compared to the total number of roads requiring repair, the volume of application innovative technologies is still extremely small. Majority construction work carried out using traditional technologies and materials.

Work is planned for 2016 in Omsk on:

    Emergency repair of urban road network objects (234 objects)

    Repair of roads with laying asphalt covering the entire width of the roadway (21 objects)

In addition, on this moment there is confirmed information about plans to renovate another 36 facilities. Thus, the region’s need for asphalt concrete mixtures is beyond doubt.

The project provides for the organization manufacturing enterprise on rented space on site industrial complex in Omsk, purchasing equipment for the production of asphalt concrete mixtures and its sale to organizations involved in contract work on road repairs in the region.

3. DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES

The company's products are asphalt concrete mixtures for various road works. All products are manufactured at own equipment at an industrial site in Omsk. Asphalt concrete is a building material produced by creating a mixture of a binder (bitumen, cement) and filling elements (crushed stone, sand) and then cooling it. Depending on the laying temperature, asphalt concrete mixtures are divided into hot, warm and cold. Depending on the physical properties asphalt concrete is divided into rigid, plastic and cast.

Table 2. Products of the enterprise and their description

The mixture is made to order according to customer specifications. All products comply with GOST requirements. It is assumed that the customer will pick up the products from the production area.

4. SALES AND MARKETING

The main sales channel is sales to enterprises performing contract work on road construction and repair. Sales region: Omsk and Omsk region.

Since asphalt concrete is not a unique product, the main parameter affecting the competitiveness of the product is the quality of the mixture and its stability. Otherwise, competitive fight is carried out according to price, production time. An important factor is also the presence of connections with construction organizations, established partnerships.

Stability High Quality asphalt concrete mixture is ensured due to the high quality of equipment, components, as well as compliance with production technology, which is controlled by a qualified technologist.

The price level for products is 5-7% lower than the market average, which will create conditions for entering the market. Sales prices are shown in Table. 3.

Table 3. Production costs and selling price

Since strict adherence to production technology is required, a reduction in the production time of the mixture can only be achieved through the constant availability of all components in stock. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid “overstocking” the warehouse to minimize frozen Money. For this purpose, the warehouse stock is maintained at the level of the planned monthly requirement with a safety stock of 10% of the total volume.

The company is actively working to interact with road construction organizations and build long-term partnerships. Such cooperation ensures the competitiveness of the project and is a guarantee of receiving a constant volume of orders.

year 2009. My friend and I decided to do own business, because They graduated from university, but work had not yet begun, and the crisis also helped. We were always interested in business; that was the only way we could earn enough money to live a prosperous life.

Interested budgetary sphere, because this is stability, because even in a crisis, the state invests money in maintaining infrastructure, in particular in the road area, maintaining housing and communal services. This direction was also interesting for us because we had a construction education. I was interested in construction related to state and municipal orders.

Our village is small, we found out whether funds are allocated for the scope of work that interests us and in what volume. Having met with the head of the municipal settlement, we discussed the problems and funds that are allocated this year and that are planned to be allocated. The head said that there are certain quotes according to which work can be organized, in particular, repairs and landscaping of the territory. There are also tenders in the field of housing and communal services, namely the repair of local areas. The problem was acute in the housing and communal services sector; no one had done anything in this area for many years. The condition of the housing stock was critical, let alone the surrounding area.

He told us this because money is constantly being allocated, and the materials needed to carry out these works have to be purchased through intermediaries. For example, we were interested in tenders for patching asphalt, repairing blind areas, and landscaping. We started to calculate. There was a desire to make asphalt myself. A bold decision and absurd at first glance. How can young guys do this? This business inaccessible without serious investment. You are right, but there are many solutions for every “but”. I'll tell you in detail how we did it.

In our village, which is quite remote, there is an asphalt concrete plant, a branch of the regional road enterprise, from which local municipalities bought asphalt, because... It was not possible to produce asphalt on our own.

We began to study the market and discovered a plant for asphalt regeneration, i.e. it produced new asphalt from old asphalt. Due to the fact that there was plenty of old asphalt, and due to the fact that the surrounding areas are being destroyed, the old asphalt, laid back in Soviet time peeled off and could be recycled.

Also, at the road enterprises there was asphalt crumbs, which lay in whole mountains. This crumb is formed by removing the old asphalt with a special road milling machine before laying the new one. Further, road workers either dump this crumb as garbage, soil, or use it partially in the preparation of new asphalt.

This opened up the field for using waste that was essentially given to us for free, and from this we can make finished material. It would be nice to receive money for recycling waste, but for now the question remains open.

What is asphalt regeneration? It means taking old asphalt, heating it, adding bitumen in an amount less than in traditional asphalt. The result was an asphalt concrete mixture of limited use, for example, for constructing blind areas, landscaping adjacent areas, for pothole repairs, but not for loaded areas! As a result, there is no need to buy crushed stone, there is no need for sand, less bitumen is used, and bitumen is an important component in the cost of asphalt.

We decided to purchase a mini, mobile asphalt concrete plant, or as it is also called a mini asphalt concrete plant, which will allow us to be independent, autonomous, and serve our area. Autonomy means having a built-in generator so you don’t have to look for a source of electricity. The mini asphalt plant had to be mobile, i.e. on wheels for on-site repairs. Preferably with a container for heating bitumen, i.e. It is necessary to maintain the temperature of the bitumen so that it does not harden. Buying a bitumen container separately is very expensive. Heating bitumen in barrels on site is very time-consuming and inconvenient. The built-in heated bitumen tank helped us out.

We had a truck to which the installation was attached and, at the same time, raw materials for regeneration, fuel, tools, and shovels were transported.

The cost of the equipment at that time was approximately one million rubles. We began to look for funding opportunities for this project. At that time, there were programs to support entrepreneurs, and maybe they still are.

Finding funding

The state provided subsidies in the amount of 58,800 rubles. We made two business plans for different types of activities, i.e. my friend and I made two business plans, as if he and I were independent entrepreneurs from each other. We consulted with the employment service, which helped us prepare necessary documents. We made business plans in order to receive financing; for this we do not need to make a business plan for real activities, i.e. asphalt production. We need to do it in such a way that it is allocated, but how to spend it is the second question. We received almost 120,000 rubles. Then we had the right to hire up to three people. The state provided workers with a minimum wage of 58,800 rubles, but they had to work for at least a year, i.e. not be listed as unemployed.

They hired their relatives. The state allocated 58,800 rubles as support for each person. Thus, thanks to government support, we received half a million rubles. 240,000 rubles each.

Additionally, the regional authorities created a guarantee fund, through which we could, with a minimum interest without collateral, i.e. without having any property, take out a loan. Having negotiated and fulfilled the conditions of the guarantee fund, with a minimum package of documents, in a short time, we received another 200,000 rubles. We could have taken more, but the amount of 200,000 rubles was enough for us. This amount was just like a safety net.

We had an individual entrepreneur, i.e. entity, this is necessary to work with a budget.

Then we began to look for a leasing company that would allow us to buy equipment. Having sent out information on this topic, we received a positive response from one of the leasing companies. As a result, we made an initial payment of 30% of the cost of the equipment, about 300,000 rubles, and the leasing company purchased it for us. Consequently, having 30% of the cost of the equipment, we were able to buy it.

Let me remind you that at that time we had 700,000 rubles: 200,000 rubles in credit and 500,000 rubles from subsidies. We retained 400,000 rubles as insurance after making a contribution to the leasing company.

The equipment was available. IN short term he was brought. The productivity of the asphalt plant was small, about 3-5 tons per hour. We were told about the new advantages of the installation, its capabilities, what can be done with this equipment, what are the limitations, nuances, and disadvantages. In general, we received very competent advice. For our own safety, we reviewed information on maintenance and service, and the availability of spare parts. Everything suited us. Additionally, we found an outsourced instrumentation engineer, i.e. There’s no one on staff to help us if anything happens.

Business plan for road repair services

The economy was not difficult to calculate. In any case, the funds allocated through the tender were intended for the purchase of asphalt, and the cost of our asphalt was very low, we did not buy crushed stone and sand, we only needed to buy bitumen.

There were quite serious problems with bitumen, because it cannot be bought in small quantities; no one will bring it to us for little money. We discovered that there is briquetted bitumen, we found a company that deals with such bitumen, i.e. not in barrels, namely BND 90/130 in briquetted form. As a result, we bought a batch of bitumen at a low price. We had it in stock. We divided it into parts so that the bitumen could be placed in the melting pot. The installation we bought had a bitumen heating tank, also known as a bitumen melter. We did not need to buy a bitumen container; it is quite expensive and comparable to the cost of the equipment itself. On the market such containers are only in large sizes, there are no small ones, and making them yourself is difficult and expensive. Melting gives unique opportunity, melt the bitumen and automatically maintain the desired temperature.

The head of the district supported us, we received the first payment of 30% for materials, began work and began laying asphalt. Laying took place by conventional compaction, without special means, the initial stage of work. We did blind areas, adjacent areas, and pothole repairs.

Further, we began to develop, buying rollers, jackhammers, and compressors. We were doing landscaping. The source of energy for additional equipment is a mini asphalt plant generator; a compressor, jackhammer and other equipment can be connected to it. We worked with management companies, individuals, and budgets. They have earned the trust of the authorities and have already provided real jobs.

We have already begun to consider a small mobile asphalt concrete plant for 6.5 million rubles, which already made it possible to load asphalt into dump trucks, win and participate in tenders in other areas, lay asphalt in a continuous layer, and not separate small areas under repair.

Also, there was a small business support program where it was possible to compensate half of the leasing costs. This means that if you bought equipment for 1 million rubles, you could receive compensation in the amount of 500,000 rubles. This maximum amount, but it is enough for small businesses. Also, there were programs to compensate interest on loans and we compensated the interest paid and repaid the loan.

  3. Establish contacts with people, administrations of districts, cities, regions, businessmen, deputies, chairmen of homeowners associations, directors of management companies, leasing companies, with heads of state and federal institutions.
